you must be man handling your motor plate

I use lock tite on all my cars and use minimal force to tighten those long screws attaching the motor plate. The reason I use minimal tightening force....looser/freer running gears in the gearbox.

Hey guys, I came by on Sunday to see the race and I was impressed by the turn out. I was there only briefly and already saw a lot of 2wd buggies being raced. Do you guys race other classes such as 2wd stadium truck and 4wd buggies normally? I have a 2wd stadium truck but am looking to get a 2wd buggy or 4wd buggy to start racing. I'm not sure which one is a better long term investment in terms of which class is more common vs replacement cost vs ease of handling vs fun factor.

Also, do I need to join membership if I want to practice my ST on the track on non-racing day?

Yes we did run all the classes over the weekend - We almost had enough to run 2 stadium truck classes as well, so come and join in next time.

You do not have to be a member to practice at the track, but it is appreciated if you join the club. All funds go to maintaining the track and keeping things running for everyone.

Your first club day is free, and there are plenty of people who will help you out if you get stuck with anything.

By the way Stadium truck is now a mod class, so any motor, and any speed controller will do, although 10.5 is actually plenty fast enough.

Great, thanks mate. Great to know that all classes are alive and kicking. I'll have a look at knoxrcclub website for membership.

Just a note on 4x4 short course we have limited it to the same specs as 2wd short course we dont allow open motors for this class due to safety and track care so 10.5 blinky mode for 4x4 short course

Went past the track today some parts of the carpet were a little damp but no puddles anywhere, the track closed sign is currently up, will the track be open for practice on Saturday and Sunday? Can any club member make the call for when the track is suitable for use or do we need to wait on the person who put the sign up to remove it?

Hi frank the sign is up generally when it has been raining so the the track is not wrecked from being to wet but if you can walk on it and not soft and muddy go for it just use common sence as you would thanks.
