Hrrrmmmm... Might have to get the TA04 up and running, bolt in a 13x6 Fantom brushed motor, some blue tack in the front diff, tighten the rear diff and have some fun.
I know it's not as old as others but it's from circa 2000-2001 I think.

Cheers
Rob.

We could run the TL01 again! In mod! Would it survive another night?

I'll be in that!
I can bring a 2WD and a 4WD. Can you separate them or planing to have just one race because if that's the case, the B44.1 with a 7.5 is what I will run.
Got wooden jumps?

Unfortunately no, not at the track. Would they be hard to make?

I'm only going off Trev's reaction as well. I keep asking for bridges, loops and on Friday night a tunnel... But he won't budge.

Offroad when it was run was always all cars in together, at least when I was there. The rules were pretty loose and it wasn't uncommon to see buggys running truck wheels and stuff like that.

We pulled them apart when we cleaned up the storage room at the beginning of the year

On line entries page is now up and running for the last round of CC12 at SMA next month. We will have paper entries at the track over the next few weeks.

Don't forget 1200mha nicad batteries, making the batteries last for 5 mins before dumping a few seconds/feet from the finish was as big as a challenge as driving.
Along with the dark days of the 1700SCE nicad batteries, just look at them the wrong way and they'd either vent and spit hot stuff everywhere or a cell would just totally die.
Also with all the different ways people charged & stored batteries such as charging the cells individually up to insane temperatures, and storing them in a freezer on a dead short..

I can also remember when the Team Associated RC 10 was the king of 2WD offroad and either the Mugen Bulldog or Hirobo? Zerda were the cars to have for 4WD offroad.

Cheers

I can remember one day taking my TL01 to Eastern Creek track and after 4 min I was just doing happy laps in circles until the marshal came and got my car.

That was also the time that I had the old Tamiya NiCad charger. Some people may remember seeing a few of them floating around back in the day.

Hey, if we really want to go vintage I'm sure people will be more then willing to bring along a few (or several) electric heaters. Just be like old times!!!
