Hello,

I suggest you go to this web site, see link and do a little research.

http://www.rc-mini.net/joomla/index.php

The decision on which mini to get comes back to your choice. The MO5 is newer, however parts are still readily available for the MO3. The MO5 can be fitted with a oil gear diff whereas the MO3 can not. I have found this to be a great diff in the MO5.

I prefer the MO5 in LWB configuration. I suppose its like your choice in women. Old vs young vs blondes vs brunettes, etc.

I would also read through the International and aussie mini thread.

Later,

Calvin.

M03 - 1996 to present day
M05 - 2009 to present day

Both available in 210,225, 230mm wheelbase. M03 needs spacers to do this, M05 can do it without.

M03 is a simpler design, easier to work on. And its an easier car for the novice.
M05 is more modern in design but also more complex. Is favoured by most simply because its newer.

Neither car is faster than the other, ignore anyone who tells you otherwise.

It doesnt matter which one you buy, they're both good.

The 'R' model (in M03) is a hi-spec car. The equivalent in an M05 is the M05 Pro. The 'RA' is a rally car.
