Hi Guys (and girls)

After a some negotiations Jonathan Lane has agreed to race the Team VTX B1 buggy at Round 4 of the WA Challenge Cup in Geraldton the coming weekend.
By doing so becoming Team VTX Australia's first official driver

Welcome on board Jono

I hope we can proof that you don't need a Million Dollar budget to be competitive and that we will have a lot of fun doing so

See ya

Pieter

Hi there

I am in possession of Himoto buggy and truggy I won't say who I got them from (one of Australia's best drivers) but It gave me the opportunity to compare the two cars.

The basic layout of the two cars are the same but the geometry is completely different Most of the suspension spares doesn't fit and stuff like drive shafts is much longer on the VTX.

Team VTX is releasing the new version of the Team VTX B1 Buggy and ST1 truggy and a pro roller buggy in January.
Compared to the current model with AM radio, the new shipment will be with FM radios, better engine and redesigned higher quality parts.

But the most important part is that the prices for both remain the same for now

Looks like Himoto did listen to my original recommendations, just instead of using them on their own car, VTX had to ask for it.

Good to see it. I am guessing most of the geometry change is in the front suspension area? I hope also in the shock towers as well.

Anyway i wont go into details. Are the crown and bevel gears straight cut or curved cut??? Also is the chassis now made out of 7075 T6 3.5mm - 4mm thick? As the Himoto one would get dents in it, and also bend...

Now that video is what I remember off road to be like. It seems up here in QLD the tracks a so watered and hard packed they just dont seem like the old days of off road. I remember like in this video when you powered down the straight the dust would follow....and your car would actually get dusty.

This was a long time ago mind you, but it seems the off road tracks we have here just dont seem to be like "off road"

This buggy looks good though, hope you have some success with it

Cheers
Aaron

Hi guys

On Friday afternoon when I got home I had nothing to race with at the gala day because the first truggy that I imported was sold so I decided to build one out of all the spares I have

here is a picture of some of the spares

So this is what it looked like on Saturday afternoon 24Hrs later with only 5 hours sleep

And to proof to the unbelievers I am not lying here is number one that was sold( I borrowed it from its owner so I could see some finer details ops

And here is the faithful old Hong Nor RTR body more than a year old and still going strong

Well we did not have a Gala day because it has been raining on and of for 3 days now but I learned a lot about the TEAM VTX Truggy
