Thanks to all, and to Toby for the workshop space. It went very well, and could have been done sooner bar the mucking around....

See you guys on the 10th!!

Default gearing

Quick question, is this track considered long, short or in between for gearing?
cheers

Most definetely short. http://www.precc.org.au/track.html

The track will be changing layout for next year, but that is the area. It occupies the aarea of a basketball court.

Nope.... not till the 10th...

Let's just say that it looks like it will be nice to drive on... a good mix of high speed and technical sections. There's only a few copies of the new layout, and i think Chad's the only one that has them....

On behalf of the PRECC Committee, we would like to wish everyone a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year, and we hope to see everyone back in the new year for another 12 months of great racing!

I doubt transponders will be available for sale as the club secretary is will still be on holiday

before the track can open we still need to:

peel off all the old tape.

repair carpet damage

vacuum carpet

layout new track

pin new track

number new track pipes

paint new track pipes

relocate race control and loop

make new corner domes

tape in new pipe locations

Not sure what time we start work on the track but last year it was about 8 or 9 am start

Default No track building day on Sunday!

A big thanks to the few that showed up today for track preparation and building. Took a while, but the efforts were worth it. The track is now finished, so tomorrow's track building day is cancelled (Sunday).

Awesome speed and a nice tight section too! I think this will make marshalling very interesting!!!

Thanks again people!

cheers, glad to help out

...and yes, definately agree on the new track!
this will surely be a nice fast track so gear up (or motor up if you're already at your limits) and lets see just how fast

interesting lap time predictions though.. looking forward to racing on the 20th!
