Can I ask what the reasoning behind changing from Corally (as specified on the entry sheet) to Volante is?

Bit of a late call to change tires a week before the event.

Arpurple will be the best person to answer this one.

Ok Nick, you're in for 21.5, last spot.

I need to confirm with you though. You have submitted two entries with 3 classes in total. You are running Sportsman, VTA and mini?

There was an issue that the club was unable to control, so thankfully this was advised off now and not next week.

This was a late decision yes and one that has given the organisers a few more grey hairs over the last month or so. Basically, the club placed an order for the Corally tyres several months ago and due to the large volume of orders, European manufacturing supply could not meet current demand. This was out of the club's control and we held on as long as we could hoping they would arrive.

The club had to then find another supplier in very quick time and MRJ (Michael) & RCMaker (Ryan) came to the rescue.
We do apologise to anyone that has been inconvenienced by this.

Although I have personally practiced and setup with the corally tire, I am super happy for the change as the Volante is a superior tyre on the Newcastle track.

Great wear and at least there is plenty to go around! Thanks...Ryan to the Rescue!!!

Can't wait to come up and race with everyone. Great crowd of locals and very accomodating....shame about that Calvin bloke 😂

Sportsman is now full. Any Sportsman entries I receive you will be placed on standby list. If someone pulls out you will fill the void.

I must have be psychic. I chose to run last Sunday with my old Volante 36 tyres. This change of tyres is for the better. As JP mentioned a superior tyre. I'm sure all will be happy at the end of the weekend. Looking forward to it.

Looking forward to it even more now

Beth.

Just two classes please, VTA and Sportsman, I only entered mini to fill in time when i thought i was running just the one class, but now that I have VTA and Sportsmen I will withdraw from Mini and give someone else a chance to race.

Cheers,

Nick

You have to use tyre's sold at the event.

Full credit to those involved in the decision to change the control tyre.
It was a difficult situation to be in and i no the stress level would have been high.
This shows the clubs ability and willingness to deal with any situation that may arise.
Well done.
