lol at all the quick guys having a whinge and putting pressure on themselves to go quick

Allow me to present to you the TomB secret to money and Happiness:

Gentleman, underperforming, and going slow, and never living up to expectations is what this hobby is all about, don't you realise that!?

The quicker you come to this realisation the more money you will save, the less practice you will have to do and the more time you can spend not playing RC, which means more time to playing golf, or footy, or something else.

the other benefit is, the less you race the more you can talk about that time 8 years ago when you TQ'ed and won the nationals. Don't worry if it never happened, great thing is no one will remember 8 years back. Save the cash, save the time, and live the dream.

just go slow. Don't buy that Murnan, you don't need it. The latest kit!? bahh it aint any better than the previous one. Carbon rims? pfft get 5 year old jelly rim GRP's, does the job. Fuel? heck piss looks just like it, give it a go.

See with this philosophy when you get placed in the slowest heat you'll be satisfied.

and honestly fellas, when were you ever satisfied in this hobby?

underperforming never felt so good *insert relevant wife/sex life joke here*

This has been a public service announcement brought to you by TomB

PS: 9 days bitches.

Well said TomB, in the end of the day we are not racing F1 cars. Lets do the talking on the track and make this an awesome event. Its more then just racing r/c cars, its about a week away when we all get a chance to do what we enjoy.

Trevor, not sure if you noticed, my vids include a short clip referencing a pair of drivers we miss in the garages. This will continue in hope that in the future something reminds them how valuable they are to us all and they may return and hence you do too.

Default Event T-Shirts

Due to the short time in trying to organise event t-shirts, the best I can come up with is this. I will have some samples made up to display during the course of the week. If you would like to order a shirt, please supply your details, size and payment during the event. The shirts will be produced and shipped. To try and cut down in shipping I will just get them shipped to a trustworthy member of a club to distribute them in each state if possible.

Cost of each shirt is $35.

Funny you should say that Trevor, I was actually having similar thoughts myself. I'm pretty sure that any post wasn't meant to be too critisising though, gas drivers just go along being happy with what the clubs do for us. And you will be missed, Trevor.

Kindest regards,
Lars.

+1
I have been laughing at the post over the last couple of days and I reckon
the spoon of harden up will get the biggest workout over the weekend then the cars or engines lol.

Bring on the racing and the interstate friends that I have made over the last couple of years let's drive hard and drink even harder.
