Basicly it has to be the Tamiya M-05 Box stock with any bearings and Tamiya optional springs. Any body shell that would come on the stock kits is okay. To my knowledge all racers are running Tamiya only bodies. Mini is the most popular and seems to be the best handling but that is always a matter of opinion and driving style. There is a civic and Honda 800 and the fiat out there too. FYI the current leader of the series is running a mini. So YES those bodies would be fine.

Default RAINED OUT AGAIN

WOW, Two weeks in a row of no racing. I need my fix of racing. Track was set up earlier than normal so racers had lots of time to get the cars set up. Then the monson started to roll in. Wind, dust then rain. Races never got started and were called off.

So in order to not drag out the series it was decided to run double header next week. Track will open at 8 am with the first mini racing qualifier to start at 10 am. So we will run the (week 3) race starting at 10 am, then we will start the (week 4) races right after that. We are trying to get all the racing in before the rains come again.

Can Ray P. do it again and win?? Will the 2 extra ounces on his car finally be too much weight and slow him down. Or will he win again and have to add yet another ounce to his mini. Is there even room for another ounce on his Mini? LT looked very good in practice clicking off fast times. Maybe it's his turn to add an once to see how it affects the handling of his Mini. Ryan was fast too running about 2 tenth slower than LT. Will his Civic give him the aero dynamic edge over the Mini? Rumor has it A Red Ferrari is going to show up and beat us all with the great STIG taking the wheel.

Should be a great day of racing. Like I said earlier, I need my fix of racing so.....

See everyone August 4th at 8 am. Pass the word on about the earlier start.

Default Week 4 Point Series double Header Results

Tamiya Mini Saturday Night Point Series @ Cline Hobbies-week-4-results.png

Here are week 3 and 4 race points results.

Thanks to everyone that came out and raced the Double Header.

We all got our racing fix for sure today. Yes it was hot out, and we all survived a long race day.

Great job Ray P. for showing up with 2 more TQ's for the series and the Week 3 Win.

Congrates to Larry T. for Taking the Week 4 Win. Larry was the man to beat in the main.

I will post actual race results for each of the main by Sunday evening, I forgot to bring the sheets home with me today.

Looks like next week will also be a double header too.

Maybe we will start all the races at 10 am and run the week 6 Mini point Series after the normally scheduled day of racing. Just a thought here guys.

Talk it up on The Cline Hobbies site this week and let Bill know your thoughts on this.:tire:

great racing guys today..nice to see the touring car guys come out..gotta say the last ounce of the 3 total added slowed my car down immensly..really evened out the field..lts car was great in main..it was everything i had to try and stay in front..one mistake..he was gone..but no complaints..lt great drive..time for someone else to add weight to their car..as for the schedule..i liked the 10 am start..though the second race was a little warm..hard on tires..but the idea of not worrying about rain was great..lt def had the best tires for the heat..see u guys next week

Default Week 3 and 4 Point Series Results

OK here are the results for week 3.

TQ = Ray P. 17 laps in 5:16.289

Ray P. 33 laps in 10:17.339
Larry T. 31 laps in 10:10.063
Ryan F. 29 laps in 10:10.804
Chris B. 27 laps in 10:09.830
Greg B. 9 laps in 6:58.112
Bill C 28 Laps DQ Under Weight
Erik D 24 Laps DQ Under Weight

Just to make clear of the weight rules again. The Rules state that the minimum weight is 1250 grams. No cars entered the point series at the 1250 gram min. weight. So to make it fair for the winner who has to add weight during the race series we recorded each cars inital weight and made that the minimum for each racer. That way each car has to weight the same min. weight for the remainder of the series. It would be unfair if the winner has to add for winning and the remainder of the field can take weight off to gain advantages. Example: Bill and Larry each have two cars they can run. Larry's first car was the officially weighed in car so his second car needs to weight the same or more in order to run and not be DQ'd. Bill forgot to rewiegh his car after changing springs and it was found to be light by an once thus his DQ for week 3.

Week 4 Results:

TQ = Ray P. 16 laps in 5:01.296

Larry T. 34 laps in 10:15.772
Ray P. 33 laps in 10:07.798
Erik D. 33 laps in 10:11.325
Greg B. 33 laps in 10:12.265
Bill C. 32 laps in 10:22.082
Chris B. 29 laps in 10:21.947

Thanks again to everyone that showed up to race. I talked with Bill this afternoon and I think he is going to start the days racing program early. Check his site to make sure.

See everyone Saterday!

Default Week 5 Point Series Results

Tamiya Mini Saturday Night Point Series @ Cline Hobbies-week-5-results.png

Great Racing Once Again. Week six was determined to be run next week due to excessive heat Yesterday. Look to Cline Hobbies site for the race time. The battle for 2nd, 3rd and 4th should be good. I think Greg has to do very well next week to lock 2nd over Larry. Someone do the math and let us know.

See everyone next week for the Grand Finale !
