Check out Greg Birt's Facebook page for some pictures of the cars. Turn out was good even though 5 people called and said they could not make the first night of the point series according to Bill. "Looking forward to 10 + minis next week". Congrats to Ray P. for the TQ and the win by 2 laps over a hard fought 2nd place from Greg B. over Larry T. Greg beat LT by .547 seconds. Ray didn't make many mistakes if any at all in the 10 minute main, and for all his efforts he gets a reward of running his car 1 oz. heavier next week. Great job Ray. Ray 38 laps in 10:08.736 Greg 36 laps in 10:04.812 Larry 36 laps in 10:05.359 Jan 35 laps in 10:15.376 Brodie 34 laps in 10:15.899 Bill 31 laps in 10:00.109 Vince 28 laps in 10:15.683 Thanks go out to LT for the extra set of lights, getting rid of the dark areas of the track will definitely help. Talks of Trophies now for the series' winners from LT too. LT even went as far as to get a second mini so he can have a back up car to do some testing. The Chef always has something cooking... Thanks also go out to Keoni and Greg for arranging the indoor pit area and Rusty for hosing down the track and getting it ready for last nights races. Even after the rain washed all the traction away, The track was sprayed down with lots of soda and the track was once again with great traction all night. I am starting to work on next weeks layout. It was suggested to get rid of the 180* at the end of the straight. I am going to see what can be done about that but the darn dip down on that end of the track makes it almost impossible to run a sweeper there. So I got my work cut out for me. Next week should be awesome. Thanks to everyone that showed up to race and those that helped with the race program. I heard it best from a racer last night simpley stated "Thanks Bill for giving us a great place to race" Hope to see you out there soon! |
I chicken boned and let Greg beat me. Next time I'm getting boneless chicken. Can't wait till next week. honk! (only one honk for finishing in 3rd)

New Track layout for week 2 and 3
2 Attachment(s)
I have two new track layouts that I would like the racers vote on. Layout A and Layout B. The layout with the most votes will be our week 2 and week 3 track layout. So it's up to you the racer to choose. Not sure if this is a first for RC racing but I always like to have a say in things if someone will listen. So racers here is your chance to have your voice heard.
Lets keep it simple. Vote as many times as you like but please only vote once a day. PM me your choice either Layout A or Layout B. Saturday I will tallie up the votes and that will be the track layout we use. Anyone can vote so tell a friend and have them vote too. You don't have to be racing this series to vote. |
voted B!!!!
|
I vote for "B". Have fun guys!
|
Week 2 of the 6 week point series
Layout B wins by a land slide. Get ready for a fast high speed track for the next 2 weeks.
Thanks for voting. Come on out and race if you got a mini. |

Thanks evryone for comming out for our Saturday racing. Last week was amazing with the monsoon season in full effect and the track set up the monsoon hit us and for a few hours the track was under water. It was amazing all the racers hunkered down in the pits and wrenched on their cars. the down pour lasted about and hour then Everyone pitched in and bromed the water off the track and Thanks to george bringing a large gas powered parking lot blower with him keoni was able to dry the track in record time after recovering from a broken pull string on the blower engine. Everyone pitched in and reset the track and racing started only an hour late. Thanks to Keoni, George, Erik, Chris M, Rick bray, Greg birt, Larry Tom, Ryan Flatt, Chris B and son, Jason M, Kyle B, Ray P, and everyon else that made the most of a rough day. Thanks Guys without everyone pitching in we would have been sitting home instead of racing.
Race results comming shortly...... Bill C. |
