Dirt deflectors are the latest tweek for the XT8. Looking around, the Mugen MBX7/8T items looked to be the most suitable. Indeed they are - they fit just fine. 4 x 2.5mm holes drilled into the arms along the seam line of the arms and 4 x M3 x 8mm cap/button head screws.
