Why did the Reedsburg, WI track shutdown?
 

Good Morning. I just moved to Reedsburg WI and found out there use to be a track here. Does anyone have any information as to why it was shut down? funding?

It would be nice to get a new track setup out here. :)

Original group stopped RC altogether and moved on.

Second group kept it running for a few years, turnouts weren't enough to sustain the club.

Track was leveled ~2 years ago.

that was a sad day....loved the races i attended in reedsburg...

A lot of people did, and a lot of people never showed up for anything other than 1 race a year.

Is there any good places to run in Reedsburg? I wish the track was still open.

i always wondered too what happened. i saw the track last year when i was up in the dells. i still drove on 2009 and 2010 for races but never again after the rumble in 2010.

Going to 1 race a year does not keep a club open. No club, no big race. There's no way around it. :deathstar

The nearest places to run that I know of are madison and oshkosh. :nod:

Outdoor tracks are dead around here, we got one, and they don't race what I got.:(
