Default needing a place to race in Western Chicagoland ????

Hey my home track is AJs Raceway in Dekalb, IL (www.ajsraceway.com)....and noticing that attendance is dipping a bit. Bad economy? Too early for indoor season? Come on guys...get out there.
This is a great track, with ample pit space, large track that changes every week (well except for Fridays oval course), and very helpful and friendly owner. Prices are very resonable, and on-site hobby shop to boot.

Hope to see more coming out this winter. 1/12 scale is taking off as well as the sedan class on Sat/Sunday.

Hope to see yall out there soon!

AJ's is a very nice facility. But with an owner that is a pole smoker alot of people avoid it like the plauge. And Skip is right about 1/12 scale.

What Western Chicagoland???????????? Sence when is Iowa part of Chicago if thats the case then Milwaukiee is Northern Chicagoland......This track is in the middle of no-where thats why not to many people race there. And lets not get started on "his" rules.....the track is nice and I still say open that outdoor track to go-carts and you will make a small mint.

Default did not intend to start thread on track bashing

I had hoped to bring some visability to a great track that has seen some recent slump in turnout. But apparently some folks prefer to use this thread to bash.

futureal: please delete this post when you get a chance.

thanks,
Ken

sorry ken.....after dudes read the MARCCA bull on this site they get all wound up and start lashing out. i hope things workout for you guys this year. plus we are kind of spoiled with Scotty's. I've never raced at Venture, but i understand they are doing okay too. visit the KZSPEEDWAY website to see what aj should do with that out door track. and aj's does have a great facility just a little out of the way.

Hey Ken, I know I had a great time racing at AJ's back when I was running oval. Unfortunately that was a long time ago. Maybe I can make the road trip down again sometime and bring some people with me. Thanks for letting us know about an alternative place to race.

Everybody, come on, behave!

You know how the old saying goes, right?

Do as I say, not as I do!
