21.5 TC is coming no matter what, and I think its a good idea. That will align with what's happening at other places and several of the big races. 17.5 is incredibly fast and I think that somewhat prevents people for getting into TC. I do worry that we don't have enough TC drivers to populate 3 classes (if anyone is around for mod TC at all...). I personally do not at all like the idea of 25.5 TC.

13.5 1/12th feels like a good speed to me. Hopefully this gets more people out for 1/12 and we have enough to run both classes but I'm a little skeptical that will happen. If we end up having to standardize on a class and it ends up being 17.5, so be it.

Off road, during the summer series we had, at almost every race:

13.5 wheeler
17.5 2wd buggy
17.5 2wd SCT
13.5 ST

I'll be running ST and 2wd buggy when things start up again.

A second class, possibly 3rd would help in making the trip there. I had no change in my lap times from body. It would be tires that would be different.

Most likely you get regulars adding a class then outsiders coming in. But it's possible. It's not motor or class that keeps guys I know from coming up.

I really need to get there on a Saturday to see if I can or like running high grip. Only got to see little practice the one time I made it there. 1/12 looked like oversized MiniZ they way the stuck to the track.

Thanks, I'm new to the terminology. is 13.5 wheeler another name for 13.5 4WD Buggy?

Thanks!

One other question, what (if anything) do I need to buy in order for my car to register on the lap timer?

You'll need an AMB or MyLaps transponder. The hobby shop has The 3 wire ones for around $85 if I recall. The older MRT units do not work, though I've heard the newer ones do.

Thanks again, I'm assuming those are a requirement to race in the events?

For club racing they could hand count your car until you get a transponder, but having one is much better, helps when running practice laps so you know where you're at for lap times. I have one transponder that moves from car to car.

Mine isn't much older than that, but may have been old stock at the shop I bought it at.

YES THERE IS 17.5 TC. Blinky speedo open gearing depending on motor 4.4-4.5, jaco blues and gravity seem to be the normal tires
