Default Clark RC Park 2015 Outdoor Offroad Season

Clark RC Park 2015
Starting to look like an early start to the season and we're looking forward to another year of off road outdoor racing.

The Track:
We will be starting the year with a fresh open layout and will be planning on (weather permitting) getting it ready asap and sneaking in some race days before the official schedule (posted below) kicks off. Keep posted here and on our facebook page as we may be adding dates as we go!

Classes:
Classes will depend on turnout but usually go as follows...
1/8 Nitro Buggy
1/8 Electric Buggy
1/8 Nitro Truggy
1/8 Electric Truggy
1/10 2WD Short Course
1/10 4x4 Short Course

WARNING!!! Matts yearly rant below...

Again, we work very hard to get an nice compact racing surface and believe we have a track that both 1/10 and 1/8 scale classes can race on. That being said, bring out your 1/10 buggy and/or truck! Worst case we can race them with 2wd/4x4 SCT's. Bring them! I want to break... I mean race my 1/10 scales!

More info:
Want to see pics of the track? Need directions? Wanna know more about the crazy guys who run this track? Check the website! www.clarkrcpark.com

Thanks for looking and I hope to see everyone out at the track for another great year!

Big Events!
We will be hosting a few big events this year that you will not want to miss and I will add them here as they are confirmed!

June 27th-28th - The Badgerland Offroad Challenge
August 8th - The Summer Showdown with Scotty Ernst
September 7th - The Labor Day Challenge

We will also be running our Summer Points Series on the following dates

May 23rd
June 20th
July 25th
August 22nd
September 26th

5 races 1 throw out! Always a great time!

As you know, we want everyone to have a good time with what they have. That being said we will be running them together. Now if we find it is a definite advantage we may have to do something such as have the super lites add some weight or run them separately.

We ran super lites last year with the MIPs. While they are better indoors, they held no advantage outdoor. From what we exerienced, the low traction of outdoors and the windy conditions make the lighter vehicles less advantagious. Chuck

Yes we will hold some "big" races this year. We will hold the "Badgerland Offroad Challenge" In June, the "Summer Showdown" in August and the "Labor Day Challenge in September. Last year, unfortunately, we did have to adjust our schedule but everything on this years schedule is confirmed.

Cool. Someone at Trackside had said that the Showdown wasn't happening. I'll have to put these all in my calander althought I won't be able to make the Badgerland race as I'll be out of town that weekend. Looking forward to smelling nitro again.

Default Tires

Can someone tell me what a couple good tires for 1/8 buggy are for this track? Looking to head out there this summer and would prefer to be prepared. Thanks!

i always start with crossbraces during practice and run soft grids during racing. some like hybrids too.

It all depends on the weather. If we can get the track done it will be an open practice day.
