Elburn days charity off-road race
#61
It can be done by 4:00 PM or it can go t'll dark. It's unpredictable really. In the past it was limited to 5 classes because of trophies but also because the day would get too long by going more. Now there is typically only one heat to a class, but some have two. With 6 classes, figure 8 - 10 heats. If there are no computer problems and marshals do their job, they should be done before dusk. I haven't raced the off-road race in a while but I'm thinking about coming out tomorrow. I was there watching the truck pulls today and Elburn Days is just such a blast.

Like all races it depends on the people. We're running 2 quals and the mains. Marshaling shouldn't be a problem cuz a lot of spectators seem to jump in. Might have more classes then trophies cuz the interest of mod vs stock is a possibility. The only thing I can guaranty is you'll have a good time. Laid back atmosphere, no real pressure and plenty of things to do and look at to make the day go by.

I had a great time yesterday! A LOT OF ENTRIES! HT did an awesome job keeping it all flowing. I am a little upset at myself for giving away a solid 2nd place in the A main for 4x4 sct, but it was my first ever rc race and I still had a blast finishing 4th out of a 25 truck field.
