The Spring Smack Down April 26th at TimeWarp R/C Raceway
 

With winter finally behind us and the Warp Series wrapped up it’s time for a nice one day trophy race inside while we wait for Mother Nature to calm back down. HobbyTown USA Lake in the Hills presents The Spring Smack Down April 26th at TimeWarp R/C Raceway.

Awards for the top 3 in the A main plus TQ award
Classes:
Sportsman
2wd Stock Buggy
2wd Mod Buggy
4wd Mod Buggy
2wd Stock SCT
Mod Racing Truck (Stadium Truck)
4X4 Mod SCT
Vintage (exhibition)

Sportsman may run any 2wd 1/10th scale electric off-road chassis. No 4X4 SCT in Sportsman.
Drivers entered in Sportsman may not run any other class except vintage.
All stock classes must run ZERO timing mode (blinky) on timing advance ESC’s. Trinity D3.5 17.5 is legal.
All classes limited to 2 cell hard case LiPo’s. Batteries must be charged in a LiPo sack!
For vintage we would like to see pre B2/XX cars or trucks. This class will be open motor/ESC. All vintage qualifiers will be heads up.
Entry:
$25 first class
$15 2nd class & Sportsman
$10 3rd class

Practice 9:00am to 11:30am racing starts at noon.
Three rounds of qualifying and a main. Bump ups in all the lower mains.

I have my rc10 now, just needs a little bit of work. I think im going to throw some squared fuzzies and 3 rib on it.

What tires work well for blink buggy and short course? Thinking about coming down.....

My Rc10 is coming along pretty good. I need electronics and a body painted. This thing is going to be sweet, ill post pics later this week.

2 weeks away from the Smackdown!!! The awards are going to be awesome, who will take home the most hardware??? New layout goes in this weekend.

I heard a rumor that there's a dash of cash at this event. Is that true? I won't be in it but always fun to watch those.

Interesting rumor, as soon as I find out out more about this I will post on here.

I'll tell you what's not a rumor, all the jconcepts giveaways we have. And the cool layout we have going down this weekend. Not to mention all the heavy hitters coming out of the woodwork for this one.
