Get a jig that will do roof hight, with an adjustable flap. If it hits the flap you are legal, if you go under the flap its time to raise up the body.

Then have marks to show 190mm... just painted on like a hudy board type thing.

simple right hight gauge or a go/no go gauge like what they use in ASA.

just some ideas to throw in the pot

Troy, the jig is pretty easy. It does have a bar that runs across it and when you push the car through if it hits it you will see it. Then there is a piece of metal that runs along the length of the chassis and you push down on the body posts if it moves you are ok.

Kraig - Get the dimensions and I can make one quick on my table saw, that is if plywood is ok for material. I think I have some plywood that is very close to 5mm thick so the ride height can be built in to a one pass gizmo for sedans.

Oh sure, put the pressure on me now. The body height is indeed 4.625 inches for the sedans. Maximum width with a body is 195mm or 7.7 inches and the clearance is 5mm or .1875 inches.

Hi guys,
I was talking to some other people and they would like to keep the days the same. I know for myself and Nick it will be no different what day either runs seeing Nick races both so it will not open up any time to race other places. I think that it is fine the way it is. The other thing is to maybe find out if it will actually change the turn out for either day. Some of the people race Saturday because it is the only day that they can. I know that with my shuedule I have to know ahead of time to be able to get the time off to race. Seeing I have already made that decision if we change times or days it might effect if I can race and I know that it might affect the other racers as well as me. I think that we should keep to the present schedule.

I know for me, Saturday would be the best. I'm currently on the schedule for a while on sunday, so that rules out trackside. And please don't take this the wrong way... I know it prolly never will sound right, but i wouldnt doubt that many people would rather go to trackside on sunday anyways. I don't know where i would go, since madison is closer to me, but if i had a chance i would probably go to trackside. no offence intended or anything...

If at all possible... I would race both too.... Sat & Sunday

It is true that we have to do what is best for the club here, regardless of what is going on at Trackside...

Still, there seems to be a large push to change the dates. Personally, I would love to have sedans on Saturdays or Saturday nights. But it will depend on a board vote, I guess, and I am not a board member. I think the board is trying to gauge member opinion on it right now...

troy smart....as a board we have to do what is best for the club, not us individually.....if a guy can race only sat. than why would he not get a sedan, and race it then?????the only way for the club to grow, is too change dates.....marcca will not die if we do or dont change, but will we get bigger and better????? we will not know unless we try.....

thank you all who helped today.....i got home 25 min ago, and i am tired.....i will be there around 9-930 to start up tomorrow.....if you can come and help tomorrrow it would be great.....

Matt - Yeah, I know you have to do what is best for the club. I really hope that 2-3 people wouldnt change it for the other 30 or whatever. I just thought i would throw in my little comments...

Saturday night would be cool, but i wouldnt want it too late... Just me though, i don't know what you guys feel about it...

Im sorry i couldnt make it up... I called my dad about noon, told him i was going to run out to the shop if he was on his way, and he said he was in bellville... i was like DOOH!!! ... oh well
