I'm in for USGT, and I'll happily jump into VTA again if a rent-a-ride is needed .

Thanks for the local contingent from Lake in the Hills coming to Harbor Hobbies last Sunday.

My son and I might be able to join you in return this sunday, depending on tires. I'm running the Ride USGT tires (same as from carpet season), my son was trying various tires for 17.5 sedan (the new Gravity RC tires (horrible wear), Tamiya A's (not good) & old RP30s (good tire combo for him).

Are those tires (RP30s for sedan, Ride USGT spec tires for USGT) OK with you folks? If not, what tires are we required to run?

For USGT we were all on the Ride USGT spec tire, for 17.5 most everyone was on gravity tires but if you run something else that is fine also. We look forward to having you guys down for some racing if you can make it.

Thanks - we will try to make it down on Sunday.

We tried the Gravity RC tires at Harbor Hobbies, buying a fresh set and immediately taking them out of the bag and running them, and after 2 practice runs and a heat, and they were toast - death ridge showing - was quite surprised. Eric took pictures of the tires and got them to Paul L. and Paul L. said that unfortunately the tires need to cure more - they are too fresh from the mold- need to take them out of the bags and let them have some oxygen for awhile (I suspect like a week or so) before using and then they are good.

maybe a weird batch or what Paulie says is correct.

I've run my Gravity premounts from fall at LHR with no problems. Even had a newer set out of the bag, mounted them up, and ran fine. No sanding the center seam or anything. Probably the same tires I'll be running the next 2 years LOL

Good to hear. Paul's Gravity RC products are all first rate, glad to hear this sounds like an aberration.

Sunday is shaping up to be a good race day

How about we race counter clockwise this time around?
