The story of the race day was Darren Hooker. This saturday was his first time on a track and he took to it well. So well in fact he was bumped out of novice class in time for the mains.
Novice class saw the Jacobs brothers doing battle once again in the mains with Andrew taking the first main and Matthew taking the second. Andrew took the overall as mechanical issues took Matthew out of the first main early.
Stadium truck also saw a new face with Blake Sabo picking up the wheel of Andy's truck and doing quite strongly until an idler failure in the first main put him out for the day. Marcus Guillame won both mains despite my best attempts I was not able to catch him in either main. Wayne Jacobs was competitive all day but had ballcup issues in both mains leaving him in third place.
2wd Short course saw Roger Lowery in total control while Slim struggled to get the hang of his loaner truck and Bill Horman fought with handling issues with his slash. Rog ended up with overall with Slim and Bill in second and third respectively.
2wd buggy saw Roger Lowery taking both main once again and Myself and Marcus taking a second and third a piece with myself taking second overall and Marcus taking third overall due to an unknown issue towards the end of the first main.
4wd Short Course was where all the action was. We saw a novice bump up to run with the big boys and prove he deserved to be there. The first main saw Rog and Slim battling it out for first and second and Bill and Darren going at it for third and fourth. Rog eventually came out on top but Slim did not make it easy. Bill managed to edge out Darren to take third. The second main started off about the same but Rog got sent to the pits early with a missing suspension pin. Slim checked out while Rog fixed his ride and Darren and Bill battled it out until Bill started having some gremlins of his own. Rog made it back to the track and went to work trying to make up time ending up with the longest lap of the race and the fastest lap. He managed to catch Bill and take third and it the race had been couple of more laps he might have caught Darren in second. Slim ended up with first overall with Rog in second and Darren in third.
