#18
Lived in Benton all my life. Would be able to help with park in many ways. Waiting on off-road track i cdale to open to run rc's I currently have. I would invest in some slower vehicles alsoif this track opened here.

matt*strike- This thread is only for R/C. But there is a nice 40x80 building thats 2 lots down the road that i am seriously looking at for the future. Lets Hope!
FaNbLaDe- I was thinking about this. I am thinking, just like 1:1 Rally Racing. Why not offer more classes? I was looking threw my dist. website seeing what all i can get (car, and parts wise). And i came up with this:
Mini WRC- 1/16 or 1/18 4WD Production Rally Cars. (i.e.= Traxxas, Atomic, Team Associated). Open Motor/ESC, 2S Lipo Battery, Stock Production Tires/Wheels (That came stock with the car, car can interchange brands).
S2000- 1/10 4WD Production Touring Cars. Open Motor/ESC, 2S Lipo Battery, Stock Production Tires/Wheels (Traxxas Rally Car NOT Legal for this Class.)
WRC- 1/8 4WD or 2WD Production Rally Cars. Open Motor/ESC, 3S Lipo Battery, Stock Production Tires/Wheels.
Legal Cars:
Mini WRC- Traxxas 1/16 Rally Cars (All 3 Versions), Team Associated 1/18, Atomic 1/18.
S2000- Any 1/10 4WD Productuon Touring Car.
WRC- Any 1/8 4WD or 2WD Producution Car. Traxxas Rally and Traxxas Slash will go in this class due to physical size.
I think open motor/esc will be the best way to go. Thus this makes everybody cars legal. And since Rally is more about handeling and durability, you will not need a big motor. You will never get to Full Thottle. Slow is Fast!
The Rally would be ran by class. Drivers will be scored by Class, and Overall. Any class of car can win Overall. So every car has a chance to be the best of the day.
I was at the location Sunday, looking the area over. And i will say, there is alot of options. There is a area with good Natural Terrian (hills), and flats. Looks great!
And i also came up with the idea of a Night Race Weekend. The cars would have to have working Front and Rear Lights. Then i would mark the track with those Solar Powered Walkway Lights. That would be mega cool!
So that is where i am at. Comments and Questions are welcomed! This is for the racers!

Race Days: I am planning on having the Rally Race Days 1 time a month. More than likely on Sunday, due to me having to work the real job on Saturday's, and we also need to be supporting Wes too (if he still decides to have racing on Saturday's). He's done so much for R/C in Southern Ill, and we need to keep him doing a great job like he has been doing.

Oh, well i would like to keep the S2000 class to 1/10 4WD Touring Car based cars. Which, there is alot of choices! Tamiya, Losi, Team Associated, Rally Legends, Exceed, etc. You could go with the cheaper plastic tube chassis based, or the Carbon Fiber Plate based cars. But honestly, i would not see any advantage by using the more expensive plate based cars. With the Plastic Tub, most of the drivetrain is already somewhat covered. Where the plate based cars, you would need alot of lexan to be added so you keep the junk out. But thats the fun of Rally! All about durability too!!
If your looking for mega cheap cars, look in the FS section. I have located a good amount of TC4's, TC3's, JRXS, and XXX-S for next to nothing.
