If it goes to a 2 day event there should be 3 qualifiers on Sa. and 1 more qualifier on Su. before mains like most other big events. Why is everyone only suggesting mains on Su.

Things could easily be sped up between qualifiers. Once the last heat ends the loop should automaically start 2 min. later no matter what. No more is this guy checked that guy checked. Also, nobody should be allowed a topping off before the loop starts unless there was a technical difficulty getting the race started. As long as your car is full when your pit man drops you how could you not make 7 min. on a tank?

Great job last weekend Gary. Thanks to the crew at RJD for providing a great track in spite of the weather in the weeks before. Absolutely should remain a one day event with informal practice on Friday. Not everyone is able to commit to two full days. Yes the race did run long. No denying that. When you attend a race of this magnatude, you have to know it is going to be a long day. I'm sure Gary is allready working on ways to make sure the program runs tighter ongoing.

Frank, that's actually kind of how it works. Once a race is done and everyone has finished. It is a quick recap of the finishing order, a couple of clicks of the mouse and the next race and 2 minute warm up timer starts. In that 2 minute warm up period, you can fill up or tune as many times as you want, but when that 2 minutes is up, the race starts.

Frank reason is because if you do 1 more qualifier on Sunday that adds anywhere of 2 to 3 hours plus setup of the mains. If they run all quals on Saturday setup mains you will know what race you will be in for Sunday morning and still get out at a good enough time to be home at a good hr.

RJD did a great job getting the race done as fast as possible. After 4 years you kinda have to expect a long day. I make changes every year to speed things up as fast as possible and the numbers grow each time.
Its easy to say this and do that, but reality is sometimes things just happen.

whatever happens next year, im sure the numbers will grow and we will have fun racing! I think that is what it is all about.

I say leave it alone. I am a long time big race veteran and a 2 day event as it is now is perfect. Sure its a long day but you have a whole day to get home and prepare for your work week. It saves vacation and saves time away from family. Trust me if you love racing and love your family a shorter event is best. I think if you spread it out more it will turn into a 3-4 day event and IMO that is what killed rc pro. I really like the laid back practice day and I like the current format. Its working and growing just leave it alone.

the high race fees and a really unfortunate incident a couple of years ago ruined rc pro as well.

I would leave it alone too. As it is there's quite a few of us who make it an entire weekend event, staying over Saturday night and driving home on Sunday. I made the drive home Saturday night after I was done racing and I wish I would have just stayed the extra day. If that were Sunday, Monday would have been a LONG day at work.

I think we're also leaving out the fact that if it was 2 day much longer mains! 60 min. A, 50 min. B, 40 min. C. That would be awesome!!!!!!!!!!

Those are really long mains and would take 7-9 hours just to finish off the racing. Plus, most of us aren't accustomed to standing up on the driver's stand for an hour long main like the pro guys are. I don't know about anyone else but I start to get antsy after 30 min.
