Default UF1 Coming to the Upper Midwest!

So you enjoy RC, and you enjoy F1...well the best F1 RC series is coming to the upper Midwest this Fall/Winter/Spring Season! First, check out UF1RC.com for more information on the series, rules, classes, and very cool features they support (Race news, permanent numbers, Drivers Card, etc). They also have a forum here on RCTech > UF1 is Back In SoCal!

The Region 4 series will include 1 race per month for points (Oct - April). I will be contacting tracks for a 1 day race venue in this region, if you have suggestions please let me know. Also, to support UF1 I will seek alignment with tracks to run it as a weekly class offering so test and tune sessions are available. Currently the UF1 F2 (Amateur) class is same/similar to the 25.5 Class many tracks run today.

UF1 embraces realistic racing, competition, and substantial track time. There is even a Constructors Cup, just like F1! Expect a team to emerge from Best Buy for sure! If you have any questions after reading up on UF1, you can reach me at [email protected]! I look forward to working with and providing a whole new experience of racing competition with all of you.

Regards,
Greg Amendola
UF1 Region 4 Director

Hobbytown in Oshkosh, WI has a solid group of quick F1 guys. It is probably our most consistent race class.

I've spoken with Hobbytown Oshkosh and will be working on a date to bring the race series there.

Some exciting updates fresh off the press!
The series has a Title Sponsor:

I am working on additional Title sponsors so point anyone who is interested in my direction!

Race 2 has been locked in on Nov 15-17 at Genesis RC Raceway! https://www.genesisrcraceway.com/ The track is large, very well maintained, and has a well stocked Hobby shop! Check them out on Facebook too!
I have also selected the Series Trophy Vendor, Race Rewards> https://www.race-rewards.com/ Keeping the business in the region is important, and the products from Race Rewards are stellar. Check out their homepage an discover the serious hardware (CUPS) our champions will be receiving for their efforts.

Look here for updates, or check out UF1rc.com!

It’s too bad Windy City closed. Might have been interesting to see if this would have caught on in Chicagoland.

The series is a great idea.
But 21.5 for average to small indoor tracks, is way overkill.
And 2 more spec tires.... (there are already 2 depending on the series you run).
I think the above two items will limit your entries.
Just something to think about.
