They just don't know what they are missing.

For those wondering, Hobbytown of Oshkosh has the newest indoor dirt racing track with both an Oval and an Off Road course.

Full pit area's, refreshments and the area's largest R/C parts supply.

Wednesdays, registration closes at 6:30, racing starts at 7.

Stock off road stadium, Oval EDM/Open Modified, Sprint cars and Mini T's. Open to any class with 4 or more.

Come on racers, go for the challenge of dirt and leave the carpet for those guys without suspensions.

Zach, Nick and I dont come because the track went too easy. I had suggested to some involved that the previous track layout may have been too intense for the beginners. The result was an oval. I know there is a small off road lane. We are not excited about oval racing. Not that there is anything wrong with racing oval. Its just not fun to us. I beleive there is a happy medium. Something that flows easy with a couple jumps and twists but not so much the newbees are always crashing.
As you know we concertrate on sedans most. But if you look back on last year, we did make it once and a while. Nick made it alot. The oval with a mini lane just dont do it for us.

yea i no its just not a (off road) dirt track anymore that is why i am trying to sell some things so i can buy a sedan and then i will start racing with you guy again!!!

yea i know the lanes are very small i raced on for the couple weeks and there is just on room to pass (the only time you can pass is on the oval part) and then when you get to the off road part there is allways a driver in the wall and you cant get around them because the lane are small

i mean i like the layout because i biult it but the best thing hobbytown could do i take out that danm oval and them we could have a nice track like tracksides and i know than a lot of more people would come.

Lets see, we had the full area for off road (because people asked for it)

We changed the night (because people asked for it).

We changed to the layout it is because those who are coming like it.

Next year, we do plan to change the room layout, giving us more available track area and yet a new layout potential.

Numbers are rising, so SOMEBODY is having fun.

Bring on the EDM's, Sprinters and Mini's (which have the most fun of them all). Not for everyone, but what class/track/layout is.

You don't see the spectators cheering on road course, or carpet oval, but you do on the dirt. Fast cars, fast track, fast women (well two out of three ain't bad).

I welcome all to give it a try, then add suggestions.

I know, next we take out the dirt, put in video games and computer links, so we can all decide that night what cyber race to be held, then race it.

Yeh, that's the ticket. Plus, no grumpy race announcer dude to deal with.

Summer is coming guys for the big track. In the mean time, we work with what we can, and have some fun at it.

Personally, I wasn't trying to insult the program, track, or RD. If I could make it on Wed nights early enough to race I'd likely be there. That's why my vote was for Fridays but that horse is already dead so I'll stop beating it ! Can't wait for summer tho!

NOTE: If I wasn't happy with the facilities or RD would I race there two nights per week? HTO's NEW RR=
