I was wanting to run on-road, but Tuesday's really don't work for me. So I don't think I'll make it up there much at all. Thursdays works for me, but I have no desire to run SCT/offroad stuff on carpet.

I could only do Weds or Thursdays for onroad.

But for what its worth. I have the 25.5 combo motor in the VTA. My 12th scale has a 1s Novak Havok non-boosting esc which is cheap and can use any motor combo 13.5 to 21.5. My sedan can be setup for foam, rubber, boosting, non boosting, and basically and motor combo from 8.5 on up.

Default Track is open

This Sunday November 20th 2011 the track will open @ noon. I hope you can all make itdown and check outour new facility as it is much nicer than the last.
Jason Tourney will be running the track on Sunday and will also answer your questions about rules and schedule. I will not be their as my wife and I are celebrating our 11th anniversary @ Lambeau Field watching the Packers kick some more but. Keep in mind, this is a racing community and it works better if we all work together. Hot laps hobby will have a race program also this winterand iwish them the best of luck and hope that we can work together to bring a couple quality race tracks to central Wisconsin

Greg (stang2219) didn't put it in his post but he told me today that on the 20th for the practice day the oval will be run from noon until about 4pm and then go to off-road. This of course will depend on who is there and what everyone wants to do.

I can't say for sure what the cost is for the practice day but I believe it's $5 for the day.

Ok, despite some mud slinging already due to a "he said, she said" issue earlier this month, we do have a track that is ready to run!! This is a great opportunity for indoor racing this winter in central Wisconsin! This is the only indoor carpet facility in the area, as Racer1812 mentioned due to alot of places choosing to change to dirt.
I know there are carpet racers out there and I hope we can get together and have some fun this winter doing what we enjoy doing......racing R/C cars and trucks!! This is a hobby. This is racing. This my friends, is FUN!!!
Hope to see you Sunday for practice!!
Please feel free to call me with any questions.

Jason Torney (got that Greg, Torney)!!

I have never been to any Wausau races but I am coming Sunday. Will there be tables and chairs to work on or should I bring my own? Also will there be a lap counter system set up so we can see lap times?

We have 22 pit stalls with chairs and some overflow space available as well. We do have an amb scoring system to record lap times and there will be a 12 week points race to start in december , thanks for the great questions it's very easy to overlook details.
