Gary thanks for the heads up. I knew about the tamiya only rule just didn't see if there was a fee. I will probably end up buying my mini cooper but won't have a radio. I am keeping my fingers crossed to see what happens. Gary I sent you a pm also and never got that info you were gonna send.

Boomer I might get to race against ya in the mini class. Well providing everything works out & I get all my gear. I also have two events going on that weekend also. I have something friday & saturday night. I would be able to hit practice and then go to the event on friday. Saturday is gonna be a tricky one to do.

Just to clarify in case someone is wondering.
This is right from the rules on the Tamiya site.
GT-1
1. All Tamiya TA, TB, 414 and TL series sedan chassis' (TA01, TA02, TA03, TA04, TL01, TB01, TB-02, TB-02R ,TB Evo 1,2,3,4. FF01, FF02, 414M, 414MII & 415, 415MS).
Though it says ANY 414 chasis, it does not list the 414X. I would take that as not allowed.
Just my 2 cents

Per Fred, the X is not TCS legal for the reasons I noted above. That's why, if you remember correctly, guys were running TA-04's with saddle packs in GT1 till about 2002. That's one of the main reasons why MPH bought an M, so he could run it every week and during the TCS events. The 404, 414, and 414x chassis were all developmental/R&D chassis. There were only 150 X's imported into the USA, and I only think like 130 or so were sold to the public. That's why they were serial numbered too.
That concludes today's "History of Tamiya Chassis".
