since this is a 'parking lot race' you should think about running this sunday at Barber Racing to work on your setups and shake your stuff down. good luck to all of you HPI owners and i hope you have fun. sounds fun.

Well... today's the big day. I'm leaving at 3:00. Oh, and TSR6, go to www.acessrc.cjb.net and register on the forums and join the club. I'm a member. Ever tried R/C Drifting before?

Well i'm back.
Talk about getting hosed! I DNF'ed every event.
Race #1: Broke dogbone
Race #2: Pinion gear came off
Race #3: Sent a wheel into the bushes
Oh well. At least now I know what to expect of these events.

That was ffffreaakin nuts..
I had a fairly good run.. im not happy, It should have been much better... but hey... i spun out twice... too much gas on a track with no traction can be a problem. I needed to slow down my throttle servo a ton.

No, that wasn't me. When my pinion came off, a girl picked it up right away, shut it off and set it down in the triangle towards the lap counter wires. Im not stupid enough to nail the throttle with no pinion. I almost finished the last one, but my tires weren't hooking up, then when I hit the boards i must have lost the wheel nut.
Also, the challenge was plagued with problems. Racing started hours late.
I also noticed that there is a lot of sitting around doing nothing; it would help to run 2 classes. The time between my heats were bad enough, I was bored to death already, not counting the delays.

Shane - Al's... nuff said?
HPI doesnt get into the accual race directing, and crap like that. They bring the free goodies... the shop owners worry about the track.
When i asked Eric ( i think thats his name.. ) about what he thought about Al's job of getting the challenge ready.. he said something to the effect of " its best i not comment on that" .
