What time does the track open?

My bud and I are rookies to teh extreme with 1/8th scale but we both have buggies we bash with. We are going to get into track racing and were out at the Marcca track yesterday to practice (got rained out). Figure that this event could be quite a learning experience for us, adn sounds like a blast!

Some times would help us plan this out to make sure we can make it by qualification start, etc...

Thanks!

Also: Marcca isnt running this weekend so you may want to post something in there incase those folks dont know there is something going on this weekend in Oshkosh.

Also, is the competition limited to .21 for the 1/8th?

my bud has a .25 Ofna plant in his MBX Pro he wants to bring out. We are both looking at this as just an experience building competition, and neither of us look to be ready to win anything. Just want to make sure we dont make the trip just to have one of us not be able to run at all.

Sorry, the flyer needs to be updated. Registration closes at 8:30 AM and racing starts at 9:00AM.

Since your rookies in 1/8 scale, I'm sure they will let you run with a .25. Call Bill M. at Hobbytown Oshkosh to make sure.

umm 8:30 aint unreasonable for a big event. Shit I get up at real races at 6:00am to get seats, or check out first practice laps. You are just a wuss I guess hehe

I think it is better than getting up at 430 and getting rained on (last sunday)

4:00am?? umm it doesnt take that long to get to oshkosh from Waukesha. I used to live in Waukesha. Hell its 45 min from Madison. In waukesha you jump on the interstate and get there in about as fast. I figure if you wake up at 6:00am you get there with time to spare.

It takes 1 1/2 to get their from Waukesha it is 88 miles doorstep to track I know becasue I have made the journey a 100 times. If you want any practice at all you better be at the track and all set up by 7 am now you do the math.

Hmm weird, I make the trip from madison quite often for work and it never takes more than 45 min to an hour at the most. I thought Waukesha was closer than Madison.

you drive like a granny by chance ? hehe

Yeh we will prolly be there around 7:30 - 7:45am Practice will be the first qualifier
