Hey Matt I don't know if you talked to George or not, but he talked to the JLap guys and we found out that with the AMB digital transponders, the loop should be 12" apart, not 18" as with the old analog ones. So, bingo, there's our problem -- the personals still worked because they were designed to work with either system. So before the CCCC we need to get the carpet up a bit and move the loops together.

Also, they told us that we should keep the transponders plugged in. That makes the most sense to me, so I say we do it.

I ran the Special tonight. By the main I had it working somewhat decently. Losi was still faster though. I am going to stick with the Losi in stock for awhile and run the Special in mod, even though common sense says to do the opposite. Oh well, it wil be fun either way.

I'm going to pull the carpet up Saturday and fix the loops.

Will there be practice on Sat too? what time? Also, how late do you expect it to go? This might be a bit much for a first timer but maybe anyway.

Erik: Awesome. We were going to do it yesterday but we barely had enough people to race, let alone fix the carpet. It *should* solve our problems though.

Are we going to get in an order for the next batch of personal transponders? I need a second one now.
