~~Leisure Hour Racers bummed cause no racing this weekend,do to nationals?No Problem!
Elburn Days is here (Elburn Illinois, 15 mins west of Geneva/Batavia Illinois. This year Elburn Days will be doing an onroad race Saturday and the offroad will still be on Sunday.
The dates are Aug 22, 23 they changed the dates on us this year they moved the fair back a week. it was going to be on the 16th of aug.
Race fees are $10 for the first class and $5 for each additional
all the money that we rasie will be going to the Elburn Lions Club
The race on Sat Aug 22
ONROAD race
practice will be from 9:30 to 11:30
racing will start at 12:00
So you guys can race your monster trucks and your slashes all weekend
The OFFROAD Race is Aug 23
practice will be from 8:00 to 9:30
racing will start at 10:00
Classes are
1/8th scale
truggy
monster truck
1/10th scale open gas/electric
stock slash
we will have awards and prizes all weekend long!
~~~~ATTENTION SLASH RACERS!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not only is this fun for the whole family with all the festivities, eats and drinks, but looks like we have over 25+ slash drivers in the works trying to attend this event. Shooting for 50+ though, the drivers stand can hold 10 drivers at one time, lets give the spectators a taste of what slash racing is all about! 2 out of every 10 spectators will run, not walk but sprint to the hobby shop and dig out 200 benjis and join the growing sensation after they see this! Since it is a festival there will be spectators there, making this a fun one for family and friends to attend!
This weekend is going to be a little glimpse of where this "Slash Craze," is heading! Might as well look at it like this, you take 1st, 2nd, 3rd in the A main, you are defiantly considered a big dog in the chicagoland area for slash... Hands Down!!! But whatever place you get, this will be the day that you look back to remember and know that this is the reason you got into slash racing! Don't miss this!!!
