All classes are open. We run for the fun of it. If we had big money races we would set down some rules. It is run what you brung at the Rockpile. The fewer rules, the fewer problems we have found.

Stock tires though for the Slash class right? No step pins. Atleast thats how I hear from a Rockpile regular.

We will have lights for the walkways around the track. Personal pit space lights to be brought by the racers. We will have a few generators running to plug into. Bring your own cords. The standard electrical outlets around the sheds are not to be used for lights. That circuit controls the computer system also and we must not overload it.

We should not assume the track will be open all day. This track is located at Brian's home, He may have other plans during the day. Let's wait to hear from the organizers.

As stated in my first post, the track will open at noon with racing starting at three.

We will be setting up the lighing system that Friday night and testing it all so things go smoothly race night.

The track had a bit of a makeover this week and the new layout is great. Little more open flow. Lap speeds yesterday were down about a second or two.

We are having a club meeting this Sunday before racing. Big item for discussion will be the night race. Bring your ideas and be heard. Feel free to volunteer.

Only two weeks until our night race at the Rockpile.

Grounds will open at ten - track will open at noon - racing at three.

In the event of rain we will run our normal program on Sunday at normal times.

Let's bump this one up and remind everyone where to head to this weekend. Need to check for sure but someone said monroe might not run so no one would have to choose between the two. How's things looking lights and power wise.

The lights are good to go and a couple guys are bringing generators- we do have some power but you should plan on bringing lanterns, lamps and flashlights.
When the Sun goes down there will be dark places and not all pit areas will have much light unless you plan ahead.
Before you leave double check that you did not forget any of you'r stuff- Including picking up trash.
Trash at night is kind of like pee'ing in the pool-If people think they can get away with it sometimes they try!
Let's just try to keep things safe, simple and let's respect Brian's place and leave it as we found it.
As much as Brian would love some free tools and stuff-let's not leave our stuff Because Brian then has to pick it up before he runs it down with the lawn mower and then find a safe place for it until the owner comes back and claims it.
He has been known to take a picture of left items and post them on the Rockpile lost and found thread!

I would encourage shutter bugs and Video geeks to record some of the day and night because it is not going to happen much and it should be pretty cool!

See you Saturday,
Bob

I would like to pre-order a print. My buggy is pretty easy to spot........the slowest one that's usually on its lid. I just have to remember to hang it upside down on the wall.
