Default Slash Showdown #2, April 11th

Yes, the first one went great and another is planned for April 11th.

Doors will open special at 9, Slash racing (10 minute qualifiers) will start at 11.

After 2 rounds of qualifiers, the mains will be set. Sub mains will be 10 minutes, the "A" main will be 1 hour. Last time the winner put down 249 laps!

This will also be a normal points day, so at 2 (approximately, we will also have the normal class's of Stampede, Gearbox and Vintage.

Those who run Slash's, but do not want to enter into the Showdown will run in separate heats/mains with the others.

Normal fees apply for normal class's, for the showdown it will be $20/driver with half of that going back into a rebate fund for the top winners in the "A" main (the top two positions of the B who do not bump up).

Best deal yet- if you run another class and sign up with me to corner marshal the Showdown one hour main, you will race free that day. I only need a few, so you must sign up ahead of time.

Plan ahead now, this is on a Saturday this time to avoid the conflicts with Sundays.

Thanks all, see you there.

Bill

So they all still think its the truck? If only I could bottle the driving talent I'd be a rich man.

So, if Willy goes to running Vintage also, I'll break out the low rider. I still think a two man challenge race would be interesting between he and I. I think the old man could still give him a run for his money.

Maybe I should get a slash next weekend, just before the races. Run it right out of the box and show ya'all how its done!

Just kidding, the only thing I'd show everyone is why there are corner marshals.

I would like to see a few more people commit to running the big race, so I can plan accordingly.

Speak up people!! Who's going to come on in for the big show!

So what mods are or are not allowed to the Slashes up there?
Battery?
Motor?
Chassis?
Tires?
Body?

Just curious...

Batteries, standard available stick pack, no matched cells, no lipo
Motor, stock traxxas slash motor only
Chassis, stock traxxas chassis only
Tires, stock or proline equals, beadlock rims allowed
Body, stock slash or proline made for slash only.
RPM replacement suspension arms allowed.

While our club racing relaxes the body rule and 27t motors are allowed, this endurance race is a STOCK slash showdown, so mods are kept to a minimum.

Battery swaps are done live, so a good pit man will be helpful, but the 2nd place driver last time did his own.

Patience with good preparedness will prevail.

6cell only or 7 cell too?
Battery in stock location?
Stock springs?
Swaybar?

& now that my speed con is acting wonky... Stock speed con, or similar quality?

Thanks in advance!

Posting for Bill here.

6 cell battery
stock battery position
stock springs
not sure about sway bar ( i would say no)

Most likely you need to run the stock speed control
