Default New MARCCA Race Dates

Hi all,

Out of the board meeting today we have a solidified schedule for the upcoming months.

Sunday, March 3rd: Sedans -- No sedan racing at Trackside, so expect a big turnout (warm up for CCCC and I90/94)

Saturday, March 16th: I90/94 Challenge Day One in MADISON -- racing begins at 12:30 PM

Sunday, March 17th: I90/94 Challenge Day Two at TRACKSIDE -- racing begins at 11:30 AM

Friday, March 29th: 2002 Capital City Carpet Challenge PRACTICE, track opens in late afternoon

Saturday, March 30th: 2002 Capital City Carpet Challenge RACING, 3 qualifiers and mains, start time EARLY but to be determined

EVERY Saturday: Truck Racing (5:30 PM)
EVERY Sunday: Road Course Racing (12:30 PM)

EVERY Tuesday: Road Course Racing (7:30 PM)
EVERY Thursday: Truck Practice/Racing (7:30 PM)

Once again, note that the date for the CCCC HAS CHANGED. Tell your buddies and get ready for Madison's biggest trophy race. Remember that we race trucks, sedans, F1 and maybe even 12th scale at the CCCC, so everybody can find a class. Sign up forms will be available soon.

Yea, I fixed it. Sorry 'bout that.

Also, sedan points will start either this week or next, probably depending on the turnout tomorrow. If we get 15 or so people I see no reason not to start it. People should be rewarded for showing up... and that's coming from a guy who will not be there.

Smile Carpet Challenge...

Looking At The Dates, The Carpet Challenge This Year Will Only Be A One Day Event. Am I Correct? I Need To Request Time Off From Work In Advance So I Can Watch Some Of The Action. Thanks.

Yup, practice Friday and racing Saturday.

However, don't get time off just yet. We just realized that we scheduled it for Easter weekend, so we might change it -- or we might not. Waiting to hear back from people...

atlas..you mean you need to take off work to race.........watching is not a spectator sport....

if we set the date for easter weekend we should think about changng it.....but it could be neet, if no one travels....(i dont, so it would prolly be fine with me)...

Matt, check your email for a message about it... Don/Michelle sent it out and I replied to it, but I never heard anything back from anybody... want to make sure this email stuff is working.

I think that it might be best to bump it back a week, just 'cause you never know, Easter can be kind of a tricky holiday... half of the people care a lot about it, the other half really don't care at all... heh

Hey I got the e-mail and I think we should change it. Because if we wnat people to come from all around they are not going to come for easter. And by the next Saturday they will really want to race because they are sick off all the family stuff and what would be a better way to do it by going to a big race type thing.
