An alert to the local racers around NE Wisconsin... On Wednesday we had a customer of Victory Hobbies in Green Bay have 3 nitro trucks stolen out of the back of a car. There was an Associated MGT 8.0, an HPI Savage and a Traxxas T-Maxx. If anyone hears of someone trying to sell one of these items or just knows something about the theft please call Victory Hobbies at 920.884.7300.

Thanks! Brian

Thats NOT cool!!! I'll keep my eyes and ears open......

Parents,
If you would like to bring DVDS along for your kids to watch in the clubhouse while you are racing, you may do so. The bartenders should be ok setting it up for you.

Where are all the racers ? .When we started this change to Sundays the majority said that they will come out and race. Well its been a shortfall the last 3 times. Come on everybody we need racers. Is there a problem with the track or personal that people are not coming out or is it the time. Any suggestions are taken serious we want to make this a good thing for all. Any feedback would be great. Thanks to all who came out yesterday and supported the club racing hope you all had fun.

I should be out there this Sunday. How many people are usually there for each class?

Edit: to adress the lack of racers, my opinion is you are starting too late. Something closer to noon, or if that doesnt work like 2. Many people I talked too (including my dad) have to work early on Monday mornings. Hope more people start showing up.

Quinn and I went yesterday and we were home in Abrams before 8:00!

I thought it would have been a late night for my birthday .

I just wish my air filter wouldn't have come off .

Thanks Troy and Quinn for comming down hope your motor is ok

Last night was the smallest turnout we have had. I hope its not a sign of the future.

If it a start time issue.......Maybe we should hear what is a better time for others to come here. Start at 2 or 3? Lets hear your opinions.

Then bring it up at a drivers meeting next sunday and take a vote for those who show up. Then we will see where we stand, and possibly change it if the other directors are o.k. with it.

I think the rainy weather has also played into this also.

Thank you to those who are able to make it out.

I've never had an air filter come off before. I made maybe a 1/2 lap before I stopped becasue I could tell something was wrong. What's the best solution for the motor after losing an air filter?

I was thinking about pulling everything apart on the motor and spraying it super clean to remove any dirt that's probably inside and then oiling it liberally and then spray it out again with air. Will this help prevent any more damage?

I never lost a filter (knock on wood). But I know some others who have. You got the right idea. Take the motor completly apart piston, sleave, pull the crank shaft out, take carb off. Spray everything down very well. spray out the bearings, blow out with air compressor and oil them if they dont feel gritty then they should be ok.

Spray the carb out also. If its really bad you may need to take that apart also. Put a drop of oil on the slide also.

Check the piston and sleave for any marks from dirt also. put it back together........Good luck
