Kocourek also had problems. I told him to try it again. Not sure if he listened to me.

Hey, Matt can't go on sunday due to a death in the family. When are you going down shane? Could I bum a ride? I could wait out your round of disc golf.

I really suck with directions... lol.. I can tell ya.. but it would be easier to plug it into www.maps.com

use Us 51, Janesville, WI as your start point, then put 7971 Forest Hills Rd, Loves Park, IL as your end point.

If you really need me to... i can goto my dad's shop on 51 and have you follow me. Its the blue building next to Malroony Moving & Storage... just past the airport. I just don't know how early i want to be up

I would just take 251 to Menards/ McDonalds... turn left... and go about 2 lights then turn right... It would be right there... Thats the "easy way"

I take a short cut though... only one light...not as busy.

the fastest way for anyone coming from madison or janesville, is to take 90 east to The Riverside exit (rockford/loves park). Go west on Riverside to Perryville (appox. 2 miles if that). Turn Right (north) on Perryville. Follow perryville to Harlem rd. (approx 4 miles again if that). Turn west (left) on harlem. follow harlem to Forest hill (first stop light). Turn left on forest hills. track is 500 ft on the left. park around either building. I recommend pitting out back, but out front is okay too. and there is some power. thanx for all your support, and pass my sympathy to Matt and his family.

Marc - Personally... I think going I-90 to Rockton Rd, take a right. Keep on it untill you get to 251.. get on 251S and take that down to menards would be about the same travel time, if not less, and with no toll... always a plus..

Hi Fossil, glad you made it! I validated your account as soon as I saw you come on, so I'm glad you caught that.

I am going to drive down with Nick, we are leaving my place as close to 8 AM as possible. If you still want us to call you when we get down south a bit, let me know and we can start up the caravan, of sorts.

I talked to Cesar today and he said that he is going to come down also. Get this, he needed a new motor for his Kyosho, and he made a deal with Kory for a new one, and said he was gonna take this mini-bike he bought for his kids back to TRU for a refund to finance it! haha We think he was kidding... he said the bike had no brakes though... thought one of the kids might run it out into the street or something. Ouch! heh

I talked to Matt and we were going to meet at about 9:00AM at Hwy 51 and Rockton Rd. Use the cell phones to hook up. If I remember correctly there are some resturants there. If I have time to look at my Nitro car I will bring it otherwise it's a sissy electric day for us!! The old HPI tank may have suffered some additional damage after "leaving" the racing surface last week.

Hwy 51 & Rockton Road? Do you mean Hwy 251 & Rockton Rd??

There arn't any resturants untill you get to McDonalds/Burger King/Jessica's/Subway on Elevator/Honnonegah Rd.

Let me know when you guys go through, i will try to hook up w/ you somewhere around 251 & McCurry Road.

troy - that way may be just as fast, but for someone that isn't familiar with the area, it may get a little confusing. but what ever works for you guys.

george - TOTALLY COOL, i am so glad to hear that you and donny will be coming down. there is a really good family rest. straight north of where the track is. (just north of rockford speedway). called eagles view. also, just about .5 mile from the track is a little rest. its west on Harlem. (right around the corner from the track.)

has anyone heard if the "skipper" is coming down. he said he was moving to milw. and didn't know if he was going to make it. and i just found out that there are a few guys coming up from the st.louis area. "Team Barber" is going nation wide. hehe

and the pit stop concession stand has added nachos to the menu. Meatballs and bbqs are back and enough pop and water to choke an army. so bring your appetite. see you guys sunday.
