That's pretty much Hock's driver's meeting before every Tuesday night show...

ok we are less than a week till outdoors racin.
Does any one have a current motor/battery combo list yet?

Sounds like everyone wants 19 turn. Thats cool, I'm in for that.
but uh, what can we run in the 19 turn class. 6 cell or lipo or something else?
13.5 10.5? Everyones opinion seems to change every other day.

I'm pretty sure I will need to buy stuff for outside, so i would kinda like to get it BEFORE we start.

I would,, if everyone was running stock class. But about 99.9 percent of everyone says they are running the 19 turn class.
look back a couple of posts. in the stock class there are already 3 or 4 different combos people can and do run.
in the same post, for 19 turn it lists a different set of combinations. but according to most people @ victory they are going to run something different yet!

Hey guys... here is my post from the 10th of this month. The only thing that has changed is in the 19T/13.5 class you will be able to run a 10.5 brushless. I thought the 13.5 was pretty close to a 19T brushed but some racers said they were a bit slower hence the addition of the 10.5 in that class. It sounds like everyone will be running the faster class outside.

"As for lipo vs NiMH batteries, just do the math as it's doesn't lie. You have a 'Good' Hefty Cells 6-cell pack with average voltage of 1.235v per cell. 1.235 x 6 = 7.41 volts. This is compared to a Lipo with 7.4 volts. The advantage a Lipo may have is over a longer discharge time as the run-time is somewhat better.

Here is a link to the entire ROAR Lipo Battery Rules:
http://www.rccaraction.com/ME2/dirmo...E8ABA492215D1A

As for the motors...

Stock Classes:
6-cell/7.4 Lipo 17.5 Brushless = 6-cell/7.4 Lipo 27t brushed
5-cell only 13.5 Brushless = 6-cell/7.4 Lipo 27t brushed

19-Turn Classes:
6-cell/7.4 Lipo 13.5 Brushless = 6-cell/7.4 Lipo 19T Brushed

I just feel we need to keep integrating the new technologies BUT keep racers from having to spend a ton of $$$ to keep racing competitively. Stock Truck Dirt Oval is as strong as ever right now with three different motor combos all running together. We have had a long list of winners throughout the winter season with all three combos winning their share.

Hope this helps! Brian

I plan to run 13.5 brushless with 7.4 Lipo. Gearing is a geuss because I haven't used this combination on the oval.

Just wondering if tuesday is going to be a "free night" to get all the bugs worked out, like tire combo engine tuning, gearing etc. I plan on coming out but might night get there till like 6, and I know I will be on and off the track a lot.

Tuesday night will be our first race night. It sounds like there will be a good group of racers here on Saturday (tomorrow) to do some practice.
