Default Electric Trucks will be welcome in the 2008 RC Pro Wisconsin Series

I received some major rule changes from the RC Pro Series for the 1/10 Gas Truck and Monster Truck classes for the 2008 season.

Here it is enjoy:

1/10 Gas Truck

Engine - .12 . This year a .15 RTR or 4 stroke .26 is legal.

This is an effort to help grow this class due to the drop in interest in 1/10 Trucks.

Motor - Brushed or Brushless - Mod or stock.

Electric Trucks conforming to the rules of this class will be allowed to participate. That means they must meet the minimum weight. Electric trucks must make pit stops during mains. The appropriate number to be determined at each event which will be equal to the number of stops for the largest majority of nitro powered truck. This addition is to help increase interest in the truck class.

Fuel - Nitro mixtures only. Maximum allowed 75 mililitres/cc for the tank, filter(s) and fuel line from tank to carb.

Power - NIMH, NICD, Lipo maximum voltage of 7.4v

Monster Truck

Electric Monster Truck conforming to the rules of this class will be allowed to participate. That means they must meet the minimum weight. Electric trucks must make pit stops during mains. The appropriate number to be determined at each event which will be equal to the majority of the stops required by the nitro powered truck.

4 Stroke motors are legal. Deisel fuel conversions are legal but must conform to the engine, Db and fuel capacity rules.

Motor -------------------------------------- Brushed or Brushless maximum 2 motors (mod or stock)

Minimum weight - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 2 Stroke .12ci to .20.999ci Small blocks: OR 4 stroke .26 OR Electric = 7lbs. 6 oz.minimum weight.
2 Stroke .21 to .28 Big blocks: 4 Stroke .40-.56 = 4300 grams (~9.5 pounds) minimum weight

Josh-

I'm just wondering why the fuel tank capacity is limited to 75cc's???
How do pit stops for electric work? Is it a stop and go?

thanks,
Brad

That is the RC Pro Series Rule. I guess it is the same as 1/8 Buggies only being allowed to use a 125cc tank and Arena Truck 150cc.

As far as Electric Truck pit stop. As of right now it will be a stop and go. It may change to a timed pit stop. The amount of seconds will be based off of an average 1/10 Gas Truck pit.

Hope this helps

Will the length of the mains remain the same?

Yes Sir. As far as I know it is going to be a 1/10 Gas Truck event. However, if Electric Trucks are interested they have to follow the Gas Truck regulations in order to run. This is pretty much how it was explained to me.

Yea I guess I am wondering what you put in a fuel tank to take up 7 cc because a gt2 stock is 82cc.

I will find out from the Higher RC Pro Officials what they are doing with the GT2s. I will let you know what I find out.

Fast response, here is what I have been told. The fuel tank is 82cc but a factory installed compensator reduced the capacity to the ROAR legal 75cc.

Hope this answer the questions about GT2 fuel tank questions

Also here is a magazine review claiming the GT2 has a fuel capacity of 75cc.
