Would anyone here know...

I just picked up a Lexus body. Should I use the supplied skinny wing on the Lexus body or should I just replace it with the racing one? What is the stock #?

Ralley Will be raced! As for the other classes, it depends on how many people bring their cars. I believe we need a minimum of 4 racers to make it a class.
Friday is always a day of practice. I think it was $10 last year for all day. Don't quote me on that!!!
A Tamiya order will be made soon, so if you need anything specific or have ideas, post them here.

Chris: The standard tire to run is a Tamiya type A tire with varying inserts. Mostly something kind of soft, like Tamiya blue, HPI red, and so on. Heard old CS27 inserts work well too.
As far as bodies, the newer NSX and Ferrari f430 were probably the most popular. But the lexus SC430(Nexus' Ugly car pic above) and a few others(Skyline and Vette) have been known to work.

Mike
Which Type A is better TAM53293 (26MM) or TAM53433 (narrow 24.6mm)

This for for the GT3 class with a ta05r chassis.

TIA

One is for wide wheels and the other is for narrow wheels. Most wheels for electric are the narrow ones (24mm).

If you are using the kit wheels then those may be wide to match the kit body but since you have a TA05R you don't have a body.

Putting wide tires on narrow rims will make tall sidewalls and the tire will wiggle too much. Putting narrow tires on wide rims will flatten out the sidewall making the tire stiff.

Rule #12 in the general rules will answer all your Questions!!!

The racing wings will probably give you more down force on the back. May be a good tuning option.

If there are Hooters on your wing we will accept ANY wing!!! j.k.

The TA05 would be best suited with the 24mm tires.
The 26mm tires have a taller sidewall which will give you a higher rollout(more top end), but the downside is that they are heavier(more rotating mass). The sidewall will also flex a lot more(bad).
Hope this helps!

Like Mike said, we of course will be running rally this year.

For all of you rally/tam-tech/off-roaders, we are going to be working on a semi-specific TCS layout for our off-road track. Hopefully we can come up with something that can accomodate all types of cars while still maintaining a track that our local off-roaders can race on on a weekly basis. Stay tuned....the track re-build starts next weekend....

I'm coming up the 20th for a pre-TCS practice to get used to the Type A's and my NSX body again(I'm spoiled by all that grip and downforce). Would be cool to get some rally practice in if the re-build is done.

Only 2 classes allow, so I am sticking with F103GT and GT2(or GT1)

The rule has always been that Rally is allowed even with 2 other classes entered. I know Trackside still has some rally cars for a good price!

Default TA05R

I do not see any TA05R listed on the information / rules page for the GT classes. Is there a reason why this is. I see they do list TA05 but no R's.

"R" is the BLING edition of the TA05...so it is OK to race under GT1 GT2 and GT3 class.....just not the spec class (correct me if I am wrong....Nexus told me that..LOL)

If anyone is looking for a brand new set of Spec Class semi slick tires (and two beater sets), here's a link to my rctech posting. I'd be glad to hand deliver them to Trackside.
