Allright boys whats up for tires down there.Does the track stay wet enough for full slicks front and back all day long? Trying to get some guys that are coming down with us setup. For truck do pink directionals ground 90% down work? I ask because we can still use those up here.

Right now it's still full slick. I'm sure Erik and crew will make sure to keep the track consistent. Not sure on the 90% ground down, but some have been running front tires on the back for trucks.

I usally try to stay with the black tires. The blue tires dont seem to have the right traction for our track. Also round tires have performed better in the past.

Karl, it's all slicks all the time down here. The moisture (or something) has been a little weird the last couple of weeks and we have been using traction compounds which we have not needed in the past several months. Mix Trinity Buggy Grip and Zip Free 50/50, that seems to be the ticket. I have been using the Buggy Grip alone and I am not getting the dirt to stick to the tires as well as when I borrowed "the sauce" from somebody.

Traction compoud is not needed. I can turn the same lap times with or without it. The 90% grounds might be ok. Treads just usually act a little weird. Full slick is the way for consistency.

Unless somebody would like to enlighten us with that 3rd ingredient's name, it's 50/50, Buggy Grip-Zip Free. lol

Erik is probably right. I found the traction compound to help as my tires are not very new (been sitting a long time).

I kinda figured that on the tires. I'll whip up a batch of duck butter to throw on the tires.

Sorry Karl, you are going to have to keep your clothes on, we don't want your duck butter all over the track or pits.

Yes, race is on Monday the 1st. There will not be racing Sunday Dec. 31st.

This is not considered a special event so race fees are normal. $15 1st class and $7.50 each additional class.
