I went with the Hobbywing just stock 1s esc since it was the cheapest and all I have is Hobbywing speedos. Figure the track is small and might not need all the fancy settings. Ordered the 1S protek packs, I believe they’re 8000mh. They’ll be hitting the track next week if you want to swing by. I know 4 people included myself have new kits. Oh and a good micro servo to be safe. I put in a low profile and I had to do some shim work.
Pretty sure both of mine have HobbyWing electronics. I’m guessing that 17.5 is choice that that side track.

I’ve learned to be pretty good judge of what read a see in pictures. I’ve bought a dozen used on road race grade. All have been excellent. Probably better then my ability at settings. Used off road can be bit more challenging to sort through. But my Xray XB2 was also used.

Average basher isn’t going to spend on a race grade road car.

I’m all for going with new if someone is sure they are going to use it. But for someone on the fence, looking more to try then used is great options.

i stopped in on friday and talked to few racers about the upcoming 12th scale program. interesting to see just about most brands at the track except for serpent and roche. i woud like to get a chassis that is also supported parts wise at the track also, curious what direction this topic will be at the track. currently there is an xray kit in the case, just wondering what everyones thoughts are in the future there for parts support

Parts are a way out. Best would be tires and bodies in stock.

Historically xray and CRC have been the more supported cars from what I've seen. I've got a good parts stash for my associated car, but when it runs out, I may go xray.

CRC CK25... Hands down best 1/12 pan car out of the box with great support from drivers from MN to MI (locally). I've owned Serpent, CRC, Associated, and XRAY. When Paul C ran Serpent and his brand of cars I would still recommend Serpent. Not sure if Paul C has been running 1/12 for XRAY, but that may change my opinion on XRAY now. Carpet is too far for me now but just sharing my .02

What’s the schedule for Christmas week? Found out we are closing early on the 24th. And staying closed on the 26th?
