1. 2wd SCT running a mod motor can run in 2wd open off-road
2. 4x4 SCT runs only in 4x4 SCT class, open motor, only 2s batteries.
3. We have a 1/8 open class - depending on turn out, we may put E-Buggy in own class.
4. If there are enough 13.5 1/10 buggies we'll run a class for them. Otherwise we run a 4wd open, but restricted to 1/10 vehicles.

Yes Euro truck is tt01 based, no modified tt02 will be allowed. These are TCS rules, it is a stock class.

Default Racing this weekend!

All, the current plan is to race this weekend, despite the threats of rain. Please do your best to be to the track early so we can get the registrations done and be ready to start the qualifiers on time! Registration starts at 10AM.

Points or half points for today? (In case we get three rain outs again)

Thanks to HTUSA and all who helped. Half day of racing is better than none!

Just a quick “thank you” to everyone for making us feel welcome. A special thanks to Dave and Jeremy for chatting us up and getting us started. This is a really well-run track with a good group of people, and we’re looking forward to many more weekends.

Default This past weekend

Hey All,
First off, thanks for coming out and racing with us! Mother Nature did win at the end, but we got some racing in. As far as the results, at the moment I'm leaning towards just classifying this past weekend an extended test and tune. Maybe I'll use the results for tie-breakers at end of season. Whatever I decide you'll guys will be in the decision making, while it's Hobbytown racing, you guys are what breathes life into it every year. You all are the reason we're still here, while many have come and gone. We will still be here, and it's a testament to you all!

See you all in a couple weeks! Pray for sunshine and calm weather!

Default Adjustment to Euro Truck rules - per Tamiya

Tamiya has released an update to the Euro Truck rules.

During the last TCS race at TQ RC Raceway, there was a small debate about the tire-glue rule in the Euro Truck class. The current rule states:
• It is not permitted to apply super glue on the horizontal surface of the tire to alter traction characteristics. The problem seems to be a descrepancy of where exactly the horizontal surface starts. Tires that are worn or 'shaved' have a different horizontal surface than new tires. To make it easier for us to tech and to remove the glue 'gray area', we've changed the rule:
• It is not permitted to apply super glue past the first full tread on the horizontal surface of the tire. Glue can not extend into the groove or on to the 2nd tread. This allows drivers wishing to use glue as a performance enhancer to do so and experiment up to the entire first tread.

I'm originally from St-Charles, now living just outside of Fort Lauderdale Florida. Nice to see RC is going strong in that area

I was told there was a pro-line body that is legal in thunder truck....is that correct? If so what body is it I see nothing like that on the web
(might be 2 new) I will order 1 up soon as I can and cross my fingers it gets here in time as I dont want to have put a sc body onto my thunder truck to run the next race,

I also want to double check a couple of thunder truck rules.
1. Is any rear motor chassis legal or is the class limited to lowered slashes? I ran my Arrma Fury last year but it was not a points day so I dont know if it was ok for just that race.

2. Is the Traxxas ESC required? With no timing/boost modes built into brushed escs I doubt it makes a difference but I want to b sure to scrounge up whatever is needed to keep my truck legal.

Lets go race....
