2018/2019 Warp Series

I was going to write some wordy intro talking about shorter days, kids back in school, and changing weather but I just wasn’t feeling it so…...

It’s time to start getting ready for Warp 8!!!!!! While we finish up our summer race schedule we are making plans for another awesome winter series. Here are all the particulars to get you pumped up for another killer Warp series.



This year’s Warp Series will consist of 10 scheduled events with 3 drops. (the top 7 races count toward the championship)

Sportsman
Any 1/18 to 1/10 scale off-road vehicle
6-7 cell NiMah/NiCad or hard case 7.4v 2 cell LiPo
Drivers entered in sportsman may not race a second class.

Stock 2wd buggy
ROAR approved 17.5 turn brushless motor
Hard case 7.4v 2 cell LiPo
Zero timing advance on the ESC (Blinky)

2wd Mod Buggy
Open motor and ESC
Hard case 7.4v 2 cell LiPo

2wd Stock Short Course
ROAR approved 17.5 turn brushless motor
Hard case 7.4v 2 cell LiPo
Zero timing advance on the ESC (Blinky)
Any made for SCT tire. No 1/8 Scale wheels/tires

2wd Mod Short Course
Open motor and ESC

13.5 Stadium Truck
Any ROAR approved 13.5 turn motor

Top five in points from these classes will get an award at series end.
To qualify for the points championship the class must race at least 7 of the 10 scheduled races. Sportsman is exempt from this rule.

I live in SE Wisconsin and figured I would stop down and check out the track and look for a few parts I needed. I was very impressed with the quality of customer service at this HobbyTown. I was treated like I have been a customer there for years and the staff was great to talk with and very friendly along with having the parts I needed. It was a great experience and I will be back. I also called back a few days later to ask a few questions about racing and classes and again was treated great and was able to ask about classes and what people were running. I was amazed on how well I was treated and all of the information I was given. I am very impressed with this HobbyTown and look forward to racing at this track in the future.

I received confirmation on Facebook from Sean, that unfortunately and sadly Hobbytown in Lake in the Hills is closing.

If I can say I'm sorry that LITH is closing down it was my favorite place to Run Onroad racing during the summer. I usuallyhad to 1 to 1 1/4 hours to get there.
We could use all of You racing at (take your choice) Onroad and Offroad racing at Windy City in Arlington Hgts,
St Charles Hobbytown parking lot Racing Sat during the summer, Sidewinderz Onroad racing at Orland Hobby town Summer , Rt now classes ar USGT and F1) and Leisure Hours onroad on Sundays during the summer Offroad all year long.

By all Means if any thing Changes and there is still some Racing In LITH this summer Please post it on RC tech, some of Us dont do Facebook.

One last VIntage run, time to bring out the Top Force and RC10. What local track will pick up an occassional vintage race??????
