Hi Everyone , with the closing of Leisure Hours track we were hoping to race our spec class at HT St Charles.
The Class is called Trophy Cup, we had every raceday between 4-12 racers usually finishing within one lap from first to last.
Chassis : any1/10 scale Full time 4wd chassis/ No One Ways
Motor: Hobbywing non timing 21.5 sensored motor
ESC: any Blinky ROAR approved
Battery :limit 7000 2cell, ROAR approved
Tires : Gravity Pre Mount USGT tires or any 24-26 mm spoked wheel ( no Dish/Areo wheels) with Gravity USGT tires with it included foams.
Weight: 1380g
Body: Protoform Europa body(PRM1565-25) Or last years Tamiya VW Scirocco (gt24-CNG)
The Trophy Cup appears on paper to look like it would be just like USGT but in reality it was Quite different .
With the tall hatchback bodies with a lack of downforce and the Hobby Wing no timing 21.5 motor it kept racing closer and cheaper the USGT.
Most of us will race other classes as well but we would like to see if we could be included the racing program.

Sounds like an interesting class. The issue I see is that there are going to be too many classes to try to run and with more racers come more heats of existing classes. Something is going to have to give to get all the racing done in the window of time we have. Open Touring, Tamiya Mini, Thunder Truck, 1/8 Scale Buggy???
Looking forward to seeing everyone in the lot...old faces and new.

It sounds like a good class. It might be possible to run it with the USGT cars. Last year there was not a huge number of USGT cars. It would be like real sports car racing with different classes running together.

Just a Heads up
, Keep in mind this year with the closing of Leisure hours , Lake in the Hills Hobbytown , and from what Ive heard Sidewinderz Orland may not run their 1/10 racing there will be a influx of racers who want to race and may push some of the classes into atleast A and B mains ,something we have not had a lot of before.

So what does Open Touring wind up being as a class? Is it more of a catchall class of everything that is Not VTA or USGT? Or is it a True MOD class?
