For offroad buggies on the track, are front shocktower covers a requirement to protect the carpet?

Default Offroad track

We now require chassis protectors on all offroad vehicles using the track. We understand tears are going to happen but the damage in the pictures is from one day and most likely one vehicle with a screw loose on the chassis. We appologize for any inconvience this causes but we hope you all understand

Chassis protectors will help. But, the low ride heights will cause the front ends to gouge the carpet. When buggies flip over the wings will cut into the carpet.

there's this model I stumbled across months ago, not sure what years it will fit beyond the 2014 but I'd gladly print one.

What the heck. I'm sorry you guys need to deal with that. :-( I feel guilty even walking across the carpet. Looks like I need to throw vinyl wrap on the bottoms of my off road cars now...

I'm still debating on picking up a B6.1. Might take you up on that offer for the XB4 if I decide to run it during the winter. When that times come, lunch is on me!

Good luck at the points races this Friday all, hopefully my lack of attendance doesn't kill my 1st place 4wd buggy status

Looking forward to the Brian Koch Memorial Race. I have a video on my phone from January 1, 2014 racing at Trackside with Matt DelGiudice that shows the competitiveness that Brian had. Matt can even backup how they were both laughing on the driver's stand because Brian felt bad for beating him the way he did. Matt stuffed it in the pipe twice on the last lap leading the entire race and Brian cruised on by for the win. RIP Brian Koch.

I'll be running 13.5 1/12th, WGTR, F1.
