Most tracks if not all put all their time in Facebook. This site has been dead for a few years now. It's run by J-Dubb and it's the same dirt from Leisure Hours. Pretty sure it's 1/10th only.

Right. But as mentioned a number don’t, and won’t use Facebook. And it’s not really difficult or asking much to maintain a active thread here. While I never made it to Leisure, I found better info here on RCTech for last summer on road then ever did on their Facebook.

Probably not a bad idea to adapt. That’s where you’re gonna find the info. Seems like hobbytowns are the only people that still post here. I didn’t get into Facebook till maybe 2 years ago because tracks stopped posting on this site.

I did. Mostly for info. Get that Facebook had some advantages, but with places closing due to lack of attendance. Why not use everything. Unless it’s not looking for outsiders, or to draw in people. It a picture wasn’t posted here yesterday, I’d never have known it was opening. Despite keeping my Facebook RC related only, not once had I seen anything till yesterday.

Apparently is run by the people from leisure hours. About 47 miles for me. 5 less then Windy City, but far less traffic.
That was the beauty of windy city at least for me, it filled the gap between the central IL tracks like Impact, and the WI tracks like Trackside and Burlington Such a bummer. Now all tracks are a minimum 1 hour away for me and my buds

Windy City was the only track I’ve been to. I’ll most likely go to Inpact to see the place. But I’ve yet to try an off road track. St.Charles is most likely my only chance. But with working Saturday morning chances are limited at best. I’m hoping to get there at least once.

I’ll see the guys Friday night. There be no official word yet. Few of us are still hopeful that with WC closed they might. Even if they decided to hold the racing in Romeovill where they have the small scale races would work. It would allow for Sunday racing. Part of the problem with using Hobbytowm is being on the stores schedule.
