Default Tracks Hobbies & R/C Raceway

Introducing TRACKS HOBBIES & R/C RACEWAY in Madison, WI

Midwest Area R/C Racers,

I am happy to introduce a new Hobby Store in Madison, WI. Tracks Hobbies and R/C Raceway opened in June of 2017. Please visit our WEBSITE for hours and directions.

Tracks Hobbies' features a 5000 Sq. Ft. retail hobby store with a 5,000 Sq. Ft. indoor Raceway. We are also building a 2400 Sq. Ft. outdoor R/C raceway for 1/10 scale, electric off-road vehicles. The outdoor raceway should be completed by spring of 2018.

The indoor Raceway features three different circuits. We have a Tamiya Mini-4WD (Slot Car) circuit and we have two R/C circuits - one off-road and one on-road - both designed for 1/24 - 1/28 scale Mini-Z style, electric R/C vehicles.

Our R/C practicing schedule is available on the CALENDAR section of our website. We usually have practicing available every day that the store is open. We will soon begin on-road Mini-Z racing on Friday nights, from 6pm to 8pm. Race classes and other details will be posted here soon.

For pictures of our facility, please visit our Website, FaceBook Page (or) please contact: [email protected] for more information.

We look forward to welcoming new and experienced racers to our facility!

Our first two races are out of the way. The third one is this Friday. Great fun and excellent track.

Vue, yeah Adam does. He wants another place to race 1/10th scale.

It would be nice but I don't think we have enough racers in Madison to sustain a race track.

in my opinion this is false...(no offence meant here)...but if a quality facility were to open, and be run properly it would flourish, i am not saying a fella would get rich doing it, but it would be sustainable...

Sounds like the space they have for their outdoor track will result in a track appropriately 60x40ft so it'll be on the small side, but also smaller scale friendly, which they've already invested in.

Vue, what has mini off-road interest been like?

I haven't heard any discussion about it. So I guess none so far. As far as I know, among the racers I'm the only one with 1/8 offroad cars. I have 3 associated rc18 offroad cars. I think it would be fun if we can get mini offroad rolling. We are currently having a blast with miniz on the rpc track. It's so nice that everything can fit in a normal aluminum case from Harbor Freight.

Sounds like you're racing minis on Friday. Are there any other days that you and the guys run there? I'd like to check it out but I'm usually busy on Fridays.

We normally practice on Tuesday night. Come by and check it out. You can even take my cars for a spin if you want.
