Awesome site!

Growing up my dad always talked about cool things back when he was a kid. And he wished he could get his hands on a lot of his old toys again. I didn't get it back then, but now I do! I guess when nostalgia means something it's a good sign you're getting old!

My first hobby grade RC was the original Tamiya Hornet. I received it from my parents as a Christmas gift. I was in elementary school at the time. It was the late 80s and the Tamiya RC fad was huge. A couple of kids in my class got Hornets that year. Those who didn't were envious. Even Punky Brewster had an episode dedicated to racing RCs. Most if not all were Tamiyas. The Hornets seemed to be so popular at the time that my LHS was even sold out of black paint that I needed for my Hornet body! I still have the Hornet to this day, although it hasn't been run in at least 10 years.
