As far as VRC, it is better than I expected. I feel it will keep me in shape on the weeks that I can't make it out to the track but probably won't make me a factory driver also. I didn't have massive expectations but it is more than a game, it is a sim.

The only thing that it is off on to me is the lack of "feel" when a car brakes loose on a sweeper or the feel of the spool exiting the corner. I don't know how we can "feel" the car reacting in real rc racing but you can and there is a lack of feel on VRC, at least to me. But so far I hve 15-20 hours on it and have enjoyed it a lot.
Hi,

One of the things that is also very important in vrc is the monitor. I don't know if you are using a good computer monitor, but a lot of tvs people use as monitors don't cut it. The response and lag time for this game is very important. I was playing on a tv for a bit, but the feel of the game was horrible. The lag times were too high making the tracks feel like there was a lack of traction.

I am using a 46" LCD TV. Have had no problems or lag that I can tell,

Saw this thread so i thought i'd download and try - I'm running the following and it works fine for me:
CPU: E6600
Ram: 4gb (no idea what it is)
Video: Sapphire Radeon 4850
Motherboard: Gigabyte M3A78-EM
Powersupply: 500w
Operating system: Windows 7 32 bit
basic case, couple of 1tb hard drives etc.

Runs smooth, no complaints - your gear looks more advanced than mine but you might want to do a bit of research to be sure.

Can't you download the free trial and just check?

Your setup is kindof old. You might not be able to run with full blast but you might be able to get a decent framerate. Best bet would be to do the free trial.
