RC vet but PC Rookie

Hey VRC Comunity.
I've tried a bunch to try and figure what "new computer to get for racing VRC, but I'm in over my head.
I've decided on a used desktop to go with my vrc membership.
It was built a year or two ago and I was wondering if any of the components are red flags that will require immediate upgrade.
I would like to run VRC as good as the developers intended.
Here are the specs of my new rig:
Asus P5NE SLI with Dual GPU Support
Intel Dual Core Processor
Aftermarket Heatsink & Fan
Corsair 4GB RAM
250GB HDD and Sony Disk Drive/Burner
Coolmax 600 Watt PSU
TV Tuner on one of PCI Slots
Antec 900 Series Computer Case
Windows 7
If you are familiar with any of the specs above and have some thoughts, please share. I am very interested in making the most of vrc.
Thanks, Tommy

Minimum video card requirement is nVidia GeForce FX 5600 or ATI Radeon X600, recommended is nVidia GeForce 8800 GT or ATI Radeon HD 4850
You can check out this website to see if you're card is above or below the minimum/recommended video cards:

Yeah , I would say without having to upgrade your motherboard change that processor to at least a Core 2 Duo over the Dual Core I know it seems they are the same but they aren't. I run Core 2 Duo 2.2ghz processor with only 2GB corsair DDR2 Ram but I do run a Geforce 8800 Graphics card. I've never ran the software you're trying to run but I can run all current hardcore pc games (Batman Arkham City , Call Of Duty Ect....) at High Medium to Full settings without a issue. I am pretty sure you could upgrade to a core 2 duo processor for pretty cheap maybe even a quadcore processor without changing your motherboard.
Hope that helps some!

Been using VRC consistanly for the last 8-9 months...
It is there when I cant be at the local track to race 2wd and or 4wd 1/10 buggy...
I practice the SC a lot, even though I do not race that category. It has helped tremendously. I've had people actually let me know they see improvement and they are sometimes wondering why they never see me at the track other than race days. I just cant fit the commute in very often outside of race days. I do tell people how wonderful VRC is and how valuable it is to those needing "trigger time".
On top of SC, I also practice 1/12 and 1/8th onroad. Whoa! Both those cars are my fav on VRC. So much so that I went out and got an F1 pan car and a second-hand 1/8 Mugan MRX4X... FANTASTIC CARS!!!!
I can't tell you how happy I was to find out that VRC REALLY DOES HELP.
The F1 was something I hadnt driven since 97/98. But the real story is the 1/8 nitro.
I come from a relatively low maintenance routine of indoor clay offroad and 2-3 hours of VRC a week. Nothing could have prepared me more for this 1/8th scale nitro consuming beast. The engine and clutch warmed up and I was right back in the practice mod of VRC but seeing, hearing and smelling the real deal... !/8th Scale Onroad Gas Car! Something I never dreamed of owning let alone controlling.
I want to thank the VRC crew for delivering the dream of being able to practice at any hour any day.
Thanks!
