FF01 gear cover

Hi all,

I have an old Nissan Primera Tamiya FF01 that has a very worn out gear case cover, it looks like the wear is on the area that the mounting pins that go through the center of the gears sit and spin against the gear cover. So much so that the gears are bouncing around and slipping which means that the car can no longer move under its own power.

Being that this car is so old I have found it almost impossible to find this single part. It's also hard to find RC parts in Australia especially old parts. Can someone point me in the direction of places that stock old parts? Or any ideas on how to repair the gear cover?

The reason I want to get this old girl running again is because its so much fun to drive and I promised my son that this would be his first RC car (and he is getting to the age soon where he will be able to drive it)...

So anyone help a Dad stick to a promise to his son?

That would be a solid no then?
