This was a Goldpan converted to a RC10DS so I had to paint a cool 68 Camaro with Flames (of course).

Default Kyosho Optima and Mids

Here are a few of my vintage Kyosho Optima rides.

This one is my Kyosho Turbo Optima Mid Special that I use as a runner at the local track. It has a Losi Xcelorin 10.5 brushless system, running Maxamps 5500mah saddle pack lipo and KO PDS 2413ICS servo. I run it with current generation Kyosho springs, Kyosho ZX-5 wheels and Proline tires. The body is a Marwan reproduction and it has an SRS long wheelbase upper and lower chassis.

The following are my other projects and soon to be runners.

This is my Optima Mid that I got from member FabolousRC. It used to be magenta but I am almost done stripping the paint (you can see some paint on the wing). It will be my short wheelbase runner using the original body.

This is my original Kyosho Optima runner with the belt drive conversion and original red shocks. The body and driver is in the process of being stripped but the paint is very hard to remove on this body. The aluminum wheels are just for "bling" when it is on display. It will sport a Marwan reproduction Optima body, decals, and driver painted using the box art design. I'll eventually post photos.

Finally, my other mini project is an Optima Pro with original red shocks. Needs a bumper and chain guides from a donor. I have the decals ready to go but I still need a body for it. I will order a Kamtec reproduction.

I will eventually post a gold Celebration Optima and another Optima Mid that I will convert into an Turbo Optima Mid Custom. I should have bought FabolousRC's Turbo Optima when I had the chance

Default Vintage Kyosho

I finally got the reproduction Optima body on my belt drive Optima thanks to Marwan all the way from Kuwait:

I finally scored a Turbo Optima and got a reproduction body for it; again thanks to Marwan. This thing was dirty and now has a belt drive conversion and front oneway. This will be a runner. This used to be FabolousRC's then went to another local and then to me.

Finally got a few things to get my Optima Pro project in gear. I got the hard to find chain guides and covers in good condition. Also, added is a front bumper.

And last but not least, something a vintage Kyosho fan should have in his/her collection. It sports a reproduction driver figure from none other than Marwan and an original unpainted wing and Pargu2000 aluminum wheels.

All of these cars were brought back to working condition thanks to this mongrel Turbo Optima:

I was able to update three of my cars. The oneway, belt drive conversion, rear motor plate went to the Turbo Optima. The universal Option House fronts and aluminum undertray went to the Javelin, the chain guides and covers went to my Optima Pro. This is what the donor car looked like after.
Somehow a phone fell out of it .

Here's a Turbo Optima Mid I recently acquired. I made a few updates to it such as a freshly painted body (thanks to Marwan), aluminum Turbo Optima wheels, Tamiya wheels nuts, and blue body pins. I didn't go with the box art yellow because I like the white and blue much better. I do have a second body that I will be painting box art:

here is my Losi LXT, purchased right here on the classifieds. I have cleaned it up a little, will bodies for the modern Losi's fit this?

the XXT CR body fits okay on the LXT, other than that, I am not quite sure what may fit, T2/T3 maybe?

For the JRX2 and JRX Pro there is a guy on eBay who sells reproductions for a pretty good price. You may want to check here. He's been selling them for quite some time now. No decals but there are people who print vintage decals.
